Boku-Undo E-Sumi Watercolor Paint 6 Colors Set from Japan

Perfect, not my first purchase. It was for a gift, a friend who really love these palette. Great quality watercolour and very pigmented.

Excellent quality paint , great value for money. Ready to use sumi ink - just add water. Great for calligraphy, Japanese brush painting and also suitable for watercolour technique. I really enjoy these muted tones. I would love to get more.

These are called, (side of pack) shadow blacks. I really rate them. I find they have a number of uses, and have really brought more flexibility to my painting. In art, quality paints do matter, do make a difference.They are wonderful for shadows, but also as a base for a brilliant colour ( I use Brusho), where they give a richness & depth to what would otherwise be just sparkly. I ve also found they give mystery and exquisite colour when used with my Gansai Tambi gem colours, depth with a glow. Finally, you can use so each brush stroke is clear, and counts, so adding direction and liveliness with each stroke.

I follow a channel on YouTube called Henna Trendz, I'm a novice painter and noticed the lady was painting with these paints. I quickly ordered them and I cant put them down. They are very pigmented but the colours are beautiful. I love moody colours and these are just that. Lovely to work with. Really glad I found them. Great price too.Highly recommend.

These are lovely. The colours are all beautiful. If, like me, you have a love of dark tones but struggle to get watercolour to remain deep and intense then this set is a good option. They don't behave quite like ordinary watercolours with regard to mixing and can't really be layered or glazed particularly easily because even when dry they reactivate quickly but nevertheless they are lovely. The finished effect is more matte than traditional watercolour so they may not work for all painting styles but they are definitely a worthy addition to your art supplies if your preferences tend towards the darker end of the colour spectrum.

Wonderfully packaged. Arrived in perfect condition. Love the way these paints add texture to other colour pallets, really enjoying working with Boku-Undo watercolour granulated paints adding depth and warmth to my painting techniques. So glad I have these.

I’m surprised of how great this product is. So easy to use and so easy to blend. The delivery came before the expected delivery date and I’m really impressed with the quality of the product and the delivery.

Simply gorgeous & a great price. These are highly pigmented, and a little goes a long way.I activated the palette with water, and then took a tiny amount and added it to my well palette with some water. I used a 3/4" flat brush with one sweep down a full 11" page. As you can see it gradients beautifully. I also just played around a little by dropping some alcohol drops on it, and a few other things.I primarily got this set specifically for shadow/shading - but I think I will be using it for a lot more.The actual pans are quite large, and it does come in a reinforced cardboard box.The pans can easily be removed and the color is listed on the bottom of each pan.I have no hesitation in recommending this set. The photographs do not do it justice.
