Nothing excruciatingly hard. I am very surprised at how much content there is for 20$. Other companies I have tried, are like 5-10 bucks more or same price, but have significantly less. Game comes in a nice box, components are well made, and there are some unique approaches to solving mystery, that I have not seen before. It was really fun. The game also had proper organization with the help of case separation into objective chapters. It was very thoughtful to make “solutions” on the website have multiple choices, and not directly bump you with the right answer. The website is awesome! It is clearly a game that could be played only once, but you can always resell it or pass it on to a friend.

We do quite a few murder mystery / escape room type games. This one had lots to it and kept us entertained for longer than any of the others we have attempted. Had a mix of easy and more difficult puzzles. The evidence, resources and paperwork was of a high quality; although, the torch did stop working, near the end. Highly recommend.

This is way better than competing games. Please make more of these, especially like this one that can be done with 1 or 2 people and not the large group party games! There are too many of those. Pros: amazing format, great that you can do a chapter at a time & spread out over multiple nights, outstanding evidence and the amount of materials, and great creative detail. Also love the 80’s vibes. Cons: abrupt ending (please consider adding consequences & wrap-up on what happens after you solved it); our blacklight also strobes making it very hard to read with but hopefully that’s a one-off; not super clear that we were allowed to use our phones to look stuff up but one of the clues in particular could not be solved unless we used a Latin dictionary, which was super cool but we weren’t sure if that was cheating. Overall this was awesome. Especially love that it didn’t start out with a list of suspects like so many of the other games. That format is so tired and it does half the work for you. It’s so much more fun to track things down like it was in this game. I hope there will be more!

I really loved the variety of evidence, the theming, the perfectly calibrated amount of clues and physical evidence to examine that allows you to feel like you have really pieced together the evidence to solve the case. I've played other similar games like Sherlock holmes consulting detective and this blows it out the water. Please University Games, make more like this, and maybe use LLMs like chatgpt to allow us to interrogate suspects witnesses!

Good standatd. Not too easy, reasonably hard. Took us 8 hours - 2 sessions.
