It's a nice little kit, and I'm happy with how it turned out, but there are a few things to note:The full color photo instructions are in Chinese, only. That's okay for most of the build, though, because you can see what to do from the photos.There are two long screws that you'll want to set aside for the spring latch mechanism on the door.The door hinge is a little loose and sloppy. I took mine off, and tightened it a bit with some pliers.To set the combination, turn the numbers to the current combination, and push down on the slider to unlock it. (The initial combination is 000) Then, hold the slider up while turning the numbers to the new combination. When you release the slider, the new code will be set.The parts were a bit difficult to fit together, but I chose to take my time, and get a tighter fitting build instead of sanding to make it easier. I'm surprised at how sturdy this thing feels. It seems to be much stronger than most wooden models I've built.I might wax around the edges of the doorframe, to make the door close more smoothly. Or, I might sand around it, and use a brown colored pencil to restore the color from being laser cut.I'll probably also use the brown colored pencil to hide the lines where the parts were removed from the boards. I usually do that on each piece, while I'm building a kit, but this time, I didn't have my pencil handy.I love this little box, but it's just a little shy of 5 stars. A better hinge and printed English instructions would put it over the top.
