We have designed this caddy to have the same mounting holes and dimensions as your optical drive as shown in the photo. Works with 2.5" SATA hard drives or SSD up to 9.5mm in height. Works on Macbook Pro 2009, 2010, 2011. Interface at the back of the caddy is SATA. Caddy enclosure manufactured in metal for drive heat dissipation and to reduce noise.
