Are the last two really necessary?** A: I would suggest using gloves I did not hold lid as I scatter in bin, scattering is difficult unless hold lid stand back as scatter. Does work. Even though I use scented bags the bin still smells horrendous** A: I would certainly give it a try. When I first started using bin buddy in the summer the smell from my wheelie bin would have knocked out a buffalo. Since using this product my bins are sweet smelling. I bought the “Spiced Orange” fragrance. I like it. I like the scent. I have been using it in the kitchen bin. It seems to work well.
