Hi, the wax laces new out of the box are approximately 3/8" wide or about 10mm/1cm wide. Of course they can very slightly, and stretch with use.... but that is the approximate width of a new new lace. (Similar/close to a normal shoe lace width)

I bought these for my little brother - for his Bauer ice skates - he informs me, on good authority, that the laces work wonderfully and are easy to thread. They look great on and were a great price. So I would recommend them.

They haven't broken!

I'm not sure what to write in a review of shoelaces, but amazon has asked me to write one and so all I can say is that they arrived on time, they are the specified length and colour and they haven't broken yet.
