Park Tool BBT-30.4 Bottom Bracket Bearing Tool Set

Needed for removal of a BB30 bottom bracket, worked a treat. If you're not keen on the hammering method, there are bearing pullers you can use, but as long as you don't go crazy with the mallet this will get the bearings out in a handful of blows. Didn't use the fitting bits as have a proper tool for those, but assume they'd work well too. Not cheap, but it does the job, and does it well.

Park tool quality, but I got caught out, despite forty years of bike building and servicing. Fits the bearings but would never fit through from the reverse to knock the bearings out of SRAM Dub BSA 73 cups, quoted as BB30. Outboard MTB SRAM Dub BB this tool will not fit. Pity I’d prefer to service the BB rather than throw it away every couple o thousand miles.

Good quality as expected from Park. It wouldn’t remove my PF30 BB because I didn’t realise my shell had an aftermarket adapter to convert PF30 to standard threaded BB. Only observation is that the tool could so easily be adapted to incorporate the features required to make it an installation tool as well.

As always park tools are worth the money. Made easy work of removing BB30.

This tool is only half a tool. It has a simple driver to tap out the bearings but does cannot be used to fit new bearings. It comes with the two bushes required to engage the new bearings but not the actual press tool. So you have to buy another tool which all come with the bushes anyway. If you bought the complete Park tool you would be spending near £70. The description does not make this explicit. Very disappointed. Given the few occssions you need to replace the bearing you may as well take it to your local bike shop. It would probably work out cheaper.

Changing a 30 PressFitt BB you need this tool. And a soft headed hammer!

Works well, expensive for what it is but if you need to take out your Bottom Bracket Bearing this is probably the best/safest way to do it

Utlizzato per sostituire cuscinetti movimento centrale, purtroppo su movimento central Pressfit di e13 non è totalmente compatibile in quanto l'attrezzo è troppo grande e non si riescono ad estrarre cuscinetti. Fortunatamente li ho estratti utilizzando un tubo di plastica. Reso effettuato in quanto inutile per me, Ma rimane validissimo per chi ha movimento centrale compatibile.

Fait son job pour l'extraction des roulements BB30. Petit conseil, avant le remontage des nouveaux roulements, les mettre au congélateur une heure avant pour qu'ils soient plus facile en remettre dans les gorges ;-)
