Makes Fantastic Coffee Well Worth The Price
The De’Longhi Rivelia is my second coffee machine from De’Longhi, the first lasted 10 years before I felt the need for a change. From all the models this one seemed to meet all my needs. Setup took 10 minutes and the fact that you get two coffee bean hoppers to put your beers in included means if your better half doesn’t like your strength or brand they can quickly change the been hopper and use their own. The colour screen is clear and the machine provides a tutorial for first use if you’re not too sure how to proceed. Just follow the on screen instructions. All the types of coffee or hot milk can be adjusted in strength, temperature and milk amount to suit your own preferences It also has profiles that can be setup so I can have a set of my own coffee preferences, I like a bigger mug for example. My wife’s profile has different beans and different amounts of coffee and milk that she likes in her smaller cup. The coffee quality and strength adjustment blows my old one out of the water. The highest temperature for example is a LOT hotter than previous models for both milk frothing and coffee. I’ve never had a tepid coffee from this machine. It’s also a lot more compact than my previous model and takes up much less room. The material it’s made from doesn’t look like cheap plastic either, overall it looks well made and a lot more expensive than it actually was. I also bought an additional milk frother as it’s handy to have one clean while the other is being washed. All the removable parts are dishwasher safe. I paid a bit extra and bought the white LatteCrema Cool upgrade Set. I was surprised when I fitted it and it unlocked an additional six cold drinks in the main menu that can apparently only be made with this type of frother. So now I have a choice of 24 separate drinks to choose from. The machine will also remind you to deep clean the milk frother, fill the water tank if there isn’t enough for your drink not just when it’s empty and empty the ground container. Overall well worth the money paid for it and I would recommend buying the cold milk frother especially if you have kids that like cold milk.

Easy to use, slimline, one-touch machine that makes truly excellent coffee
Could not be happier with the Delonghi Rivelia over the past month. I did so much research on true Bean to Cup machines, having owned the Sage Barista and then the Sage Bambino with a separate grinder for 5 years and just simply deciding that we love excellent coffee but the espresso process (and the mess) is not for us. Thankfully, this slimline machine doesn't take up any more space than our previous set up. We loved the look of the traditional Italian style set ups like the Sage but I'm so pleased we got over ourselves and went for the one-touch Rivelia. It is truly great value for money especially if you get a return/reconditioned one directly from Delonghi. We use the same beans as always but our coffee is so much better with the Rivelia; much more akin to the taste you would get from a great café. We haven't used the 2nd hopper yet but I can see how it would be a useful feature if you like to mix up your beans. We were worried the integrated milk frother would be a pain to keep clean but the machine rinses it itself and we find it easy enough to switch between oat and cow's milk and then pop the parts in the dishwasher every evening. I've even occasionally branched out from an espresso because the milk drinks are really quite good. I love using it to make "babycinos" for my kids in the morning too. I think the temperature is perfect as it never ever tastes burnt but if you like boiling hot coffee/milk it might not be for you. As many people have noted it does use quite a lot of water heating itself up and rinsing but to be honest it's not that much of an issue for us - we just leave a small jug under the spout and empty that when full. Hands down the best part of this machine is how easy it is to use and the reminders to descale, change water filters, add more water etc which can often go forgotten. Gone too are the days when we felt like we were running a coffee bar as no guest felt like they could make themselves a coffee. Honestly after years of battling with machines to get the grind size, water temperature, tamping right and still ending up with mediocre coffees, this has genuinely revolutionised our lives. No regrets.

Fine when it works
As far as features go then this is a decent machine. Really good that it can be personalised for 4 people. The coffee is pretty good, milk frother is pretty simple to use. However - we had to return twice with same fault, where it says to empty grounds container and drip tray, even though they are empty already. This happened after only a month. Amazon replaced straight away, great service. However, a year later it happens again. This time Amazon took it in for repair, couldn’t fix it and gave a full refund. Needless to say we won’t buy a delonghi again. Going for a Jura this time.

Brilliant Machine
This machine has paid for itself over and over. Can't fault it at all. This best coffee I get all day is the one I make myself before work. And because it fully automated it takes very little effort. Exactly what you need early in the morning.

Impressive
We bought this to replace a De Longhi Magnifica 4200 machine, which gave great service for almost 12 years. Firstly, I am no coffee nerd. However, I am married to an Italian and have come to appreciate a robust 'caffe lungo' at breakfast, a cappuccino mid-morning and a good espresso after lunch (I try to avoid the buckets of boiling coffee sold by nearly every coffee shop these days). This machine does all three very well. The touchscreen is easy to use, allowing you to create your own coffee profile (strength, amount of water) for each style of coffee. You can also interrupt the pouring if your cup is about to overflow, or add extra. I really like the interchangeable transparent coffee hoppers. You can see the level of coffee beans remaining and easily switch hoppers for a different bean. The water tank is simple to top up, being at the side of the machine and not needing to be pulled out. This may actually prolong the life of the tank's water seal (the Magnifica became very incontinent in its old age!). In fact, you really only need to remove the tank to get access to the brew unit for cleaning. Although the tank is slightly smaller than the Magnifica's, it seems to last just as well, possibly because it doesn't have such a long-drawn-out rinse cycle. The build quality is a step up from the Magnifica's; polished metal drip tray cover and sensibly dark plastic to mask visible staining. Adjusting the grinding of the beans is achieved by rotating an attractive chromed ring at the base of the hopper. The milk frothing carafe works very well, producing a perfect cappuccino as far as my wife is concerned (the true test!). It plugs easily into the water spout aperture, can be stored with any remaining milk in the fridge, and is straightforward to clean when necessary. All in all, it is a worthy replacement for our dear old Magnifica. Important final point: If you like very hot coffee, don't buy this machine; even on its hottest setting, it won't do it for you. Instead, make jug coffee on a hotplate and boil the hell out of it like our American friends do! 3-month update: All good, except for one minor niggle. Being able to store unused milk in the carafe is a good idea, but a gooey dairy-based smegma is apt to form in the bottom of the tube! De Longhi should include a mini cleaning brush (see pic).

Great Coffee, Smart Features, Worth It
The coffee it produces tastes great, and there’s a wide range of drink options to choose from. The different settings are especially useful in a household where multiple people drink coffee, as everyone can tailor their drinks to their own preferences. The Bean Adapt feature makes a noticeable difference to the flavour, helping get the best out of different beans. I also really like the multiple hoppers, it’s perfect for switching between beans, especially as I only have one caffeinated drink a day. Overall, it’s a versatile and convenient machine that consistently delivers great coffee.

Almost idiot proof.
1year review: I used to have a Gaggia based expresso machine and separate Sage automatic grinder. But nobody else in the house can figure out how to use it, or just too lazy. So a coffee vending machine is called for. And this does the job great. Makes good coffee, expresso or otherwise, display prompts are helpful and quite easy to maintain (coffee machine cleanliness is key to good coffee; you don't want fuzzy mould growing in here). Negative is instructions aren't that clear on cleaning/maintenance of the group head inside the machine (it's actually very easy to remove and clean the portafilter). However the coffee grind chute and lower part of the grinder is not easily reachable for proper cleaning; You can only reach it with a brush. If you've ever seen how mould can grow on coffee grinds that can accumulate inside a machine, you'll understand that you don't want to be drinking that. Descaling is a bit annoying as it tends to splash and can't get a big enough container to sit beneath both outlets that will also fit on the drip tray. It also doesn't reset the filter timer, resulting in another 1litre purge even though I changed the filter after descaling. Milk container has holes in the underside of the lid which can trap milk (that then goes off), so try not to slosh it about too much when keeping it in the fridge. Just niggles though, I guess other bean to cups have their issues too and I've seen how bad mould can get inside them in places not normally accessible, this one is 90% accessible to most parts. It's an expensive machine but worth it for regular coffee drinkers; Keep an eye out for discounts as price does vary over the year.

Delonghi Expresso Machine at 19 PS
I am happy with this purchase, as it met my expectation. I primarily drink black coffee, not Americano, and this machine with pressure at 19 ps is what I wanted. I have been a Delonghi customer for several years now, and their products are of quality as far as I am concerned. The last is the reasonable price of this machine.

Very easy to use machine
Arrived very quickly. It is very straightforward to use, easy to clean, and simple to customize your coffee to suit your taste.

Anything less than four stars is a bad unit or user error. This machine is unbeatable.
This is an incredible machine, an unbelievable value. The same machine costs twice as much in the United States, and people will pay it. Now that I know its excellence, I would too. Mine was on sale, less than €600, but now I know the value of it. I was worried because of some neg reviews that seemed significant, but turned out not to be. The only one that carries consistent truth is the issue with the recurrent notification “empty bin” before brewing your coffee. Even if you had just emptied it. And there is no way to ignore it. First, we ordered a new (free) bin from the company, but it changed nothing. But one clever reviewer had a tip: fold a paper towel, place it over the edge joint. Solved the problem completely. We just change the paper towel when we descale monthly. It means absolutely nothing, no trouble at all, compared to the value of this wonderful machine. It’s worth it. You can make three different types of coffee at a moment. You have two different storage hoppers, and a bypass chute where you can put, for instance, grounds for an afternoon cup of decaf. I love all of the optional profiles, one for everyone in the family, all of the choices and types of coffee, truly hot water for tea (not just rinse water), hot milk alone, the ability to dial and precisely the amount of foam for your milk, the way the machine is so conversational and walks you step-by-step through descaling, and anything else. I could say more but just read all of the four and five star reviews and go for it. An lower rating is a bad unit or user error. Or maybe some really extremely knowledgeable and picky coffee drinker, but they probably would be buying a different machine, anyway, something on the level of a professional coffee house. Because I challenge anyone to show me another unit that can do everything this one can, as well as it does, while looking so beautifully, for a better price. I researched for weeks and never found it.

Good stuff
We are amazed by this coffee machine! We switched from using coffee capsules, and the difference is like night and day. The coffee quality is excellent, and we’ve had no issues so far. The only disappointment was that we expected a descaler to be included in the box, but it wasn’t.

Teleurstellende service
Apparaat 2,5 jaar in gebruik. Gebruik is sporadisch, max 1 kop per dag.
