This works great for making custom hats

I just got this, and I already can tell you I prefer this to the handheld hat presses I've tried previously. Let me detail the ways...First, I can SEE the temperature the the press is set to. The smaller, iron size presses I've used in the past have had three settings (low, medium, and high) with no ability to see the actual temperature setting or adjust it outside of the preset ranges. I can precisely set the temperature for each of the different materials I use, and I've found that each hat manufacturer does have a DIFFERENT suggested pressing temperature. BIG pro in this hat press' favor.I also appreciate being able to preset the time and pressure on the device. The hat press lets me know when the timer is done so that I can remove the hat before it starts to burn. And try as I might, I do not provide uniform, consistent pressure when I use a manual hat press. With this machine, I pull down the handle, and the pressure remains the same for the duration of the press.The pressing surface is definitely one of the larger ones I've used. In my opinion, anything less than 3.5"x5" is not a sufficient pressing surface for a hat. Pressers tend leave marks on the hat or materials if I have to press more than once to get the entire graphic to adhere to the surface. Since it's large enough to get my entire graphic on the first pass, repressing is not an issue.Like handheld presses, I feel like it's not great pressing hats with a seam down the center without additional padding. Heat proof foam padding can be taped down to the machine to add support for structured caps. It would be nice of these machines came with an adapter or mold of sorts, but the issue was easily remedied with my supplies on hand.The form factor of the hat press is pretty narrow and about the depth of my tumbler press. It is not as easy to store and the manual heat presses because it's not as small, but all the positives make this a non-issue for me.The press came with a structured test hat and designs to press. I was able to get the machine to press the structured hat (using foam) and trucker hat. Happy with this press!

If you like to DIY heat press, this is a must-have for hats! This is so much easier to use than a standard heat press or standalone iron. It has a nice rounded shape to evenly press HTV designs onto a hat! It is easy to use and heats up quickly. It does take up a lot of space, but if you use it regularly it is well worth it!!!

It's small and lightweight, which is excellent for my garage workshop; I was concerned about the press's lack of adjustability, but it always gives me reliable results with strong adhesion.Easy to use, just turn the dials to the desired temperature and cooking time (clockwise for heat and counterclockwise for time; ranges from 0 to 410°F and 0 to 999 seconds, respectively).Simply align your hat and design with the cover sheet, push the control knob, and sit back while the machine does the rest of the pressing and releasing for you.If you don't require a lot of merchandise quickly, this is an excellent option for a young entrepreneur to start a business or expand an existing one (by selling hats, water bottles, etc.).Overall, it produces excellent outcomes with little effort.

Easy enough to learn and use. Was my first time using something like this and within say 20 mins of doing some homework I was up and running. Very impressed and now ready for our family vacation with matching hats!
