This submersible pump was ordered as a replacement to a 15 year old pump that was no longer pumping water effectively.I have two field drains in my garden to combat flooding due to a high water table. The water is channelled into a reservoir containing the submersible pump and I then pump the water out into the downpipe drain which is approximately 1 metre higher.This pump is more powerful than the one it has replaced but also much quieter. It has a 10 metre cable which is very practical. I removed the plug in order to feed the cable through flexible conduit under my patio and through brickwork to an internal power source.The pump automatically starts pumping water when the float reached a certain level. Due to limited power points, I don't have it powered up 24/7 and have instead weighted the float and manually power it up periodically.This seems well built and I hope this will see me through another 15+ years.

I've been meaning to get one of these pumps for ages to aid with the emptying of our inflatable hot tub when we pack it away in the autumn. The method I'd been using was back breaking so this was a terrific device that I'm really impressed with. The pump itself is quite compact and well made and may be a little bit of an overkill for the purpose I use it for as it's quite powerful but once in the tub it works really well and empties it quite quickly. It's not too noisy and empties the tub down to just a couple of millimetres which I can then just tip out. This really has been a great tool and at £51.99 at the time of review I think is priced really well. Highly recommended.

A nice looking pump, but unfortunately it doesnt do what the specification says it should.I bought to put into a pit that is 2.5m below ground and wanted it to pump out clean ground water when it soaks into the pit at anything more than 15cm. Firstly, the float switch was very difficult to configure to switch on at anything less than 30cm, certainly not possible at the specified 8cm. Most importantly the pump couldnt pump the water to a height of 2.5m even though the specification says 6m. Have bought a different pump that is more powerful and does the job. So cant recommend this product. Only set it up 32 days after purchasing so cant return or I would have done.

This is exactly what I have been looking for to empty our hot tub for the winter.It’s very simple to use, very quiet and much more powerful than I was expecting.The power cord is a good length and easily reaches to the bottom of my garden.It worked extremely well and I’m happy to recommend it.

Forst and foremost makesure you follow your instructions very carefully don't want anything to go rong.I got this pump to empty my above ground swimming pool. Its so much quicker than my old pump and this one takes the water down to 2mm so I can just mop the last of it out.Has a really long cable so reaches the plug easily. Makes a big job easier so can pack the pool away for winter.

This submersible drainage pump is very practical, fast, high quality, durable, easy to use, powerful and worth every penny.Note: When the hot tub is almost empty, hold the float switch in the air to allow the remaining water to drain, otherwise it will turn off on its own before draining all the water.

Unfortunately this came a little too late for emptying our kids 10ft intex pool.However compared to our old pump this has a much superior flow rate and has a major advantage that it will extract water down to 2mm depth.Easy enough to set up and get going so happy so far
