Ready for eclipse
I can't tell you yet how well they let me see the eclipse since it hasn't happened yet, but it is great to have multiple pairs to share with neighbors. We don't have solar eclipses often, but now I am really excited to see the sun in a safe way

Made in USA and have the 2024 eclipse date - nice souvenir!
Obviously, I can't write about how these work for a solar eclipse until it happens, but I assume you are buying these in preparation for April 2024. Me too.I chose these because they are made in USA. That's getting too rare unfortunately. They have the date of the 2024 eclipse which will be cool if my great grandchildren one day come across them (or not, as you know how kids are - "neat" then move on).I did test these by looking directly at the sun. SAFETY NOTE - put these on when you are read to stand still! Do not move once they are on because you cannot see anything at all. Looking at the sun was very cool and you can see it clearly and safely. You know that darkness that you get after looking at something too bright? I got that as I was walking out to my balcony and averted my eyes to the siding on the house. I did not get it after looking directly at the sun with these glasses on.Really looking forward to next year, but with my luck, I'll be in the only city in North America that has a cloudy day.

Solar eclipse ready!
I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of these paper eclipse glasses. The viewing area isn’t very large but it does seem to work.I took a pair out and looked towards the sun at sunset. Perfect globe visibility that seemed unreal. There wasn’t any after glow effects on my retina unlike when you look at a bright light too long.If these aren’t the real deal, they sure are a great facsimile - the filter in these paper shades blocks out pretty much all light other than the sun.The shades also have well-written instructions in each pair inside the arms and include all the certification logos you would expect to have for something used to stare at the sun. There is even a warning that these are not to be used with cameras, telescopes, etc.Next year’s eclipse better watch out!At $15 MSRP for a pack of six, these are worth a look.

Getting ready for 4/8/2024
I was at the last total solar eclipse and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable experiences in my life. These glasses became sold out a month before, so I'm having a head start now for next year's total solar eclipse on 4/8/2024. It's important to make sure your glasses are ISO certified and NASA approved and these are. They are made in the USA which gave me extra assurance. The packaging was very minimal. The glasses were folded, stacked and packed in perfect fit plastic. They came in a paper Amazon bag, so I was worried about the condition of the glasses when I pulled them out of the bag. It turned out I was worrying too much. They are in perfect condition. No damage. No creases. Just perfect!!!

BACK IN THE 50'S AGAIN
If you are old enough you may remember the introduction of 3D movies at your local theater and the cheap cardboard glasses provided so you could watch the movie. Well, the movies are gone but the glasses are still with us. Now, we can use similar glasses to view the coming eclipse. I just received my 6 pack and I assume they will work since the eclipse won't occur until 2024. Are these glasses worth the amount charged? Of course not, but if you want to view the eclipse you need some type of protection. With the 6 pack you have enough for yourself and 5 others at a cost of $12. If you're careful you can store these for the next eclipse in about 150 years.
