I've taken similar products, although much cheaper, for many years.When I saw these come up on amazon vine, a fish oil that is way outside what I would normally consider paying for such a thing, I decided to try them, to see if I should have been buying from this end of the market - if I'd been missing out all these years.These are absolutely fine, in texture and look maybe a little above the average. They are easy to swallow, at least for me, and have no noticeable taste.But...whilst I understand that these capsules are stated to contain very pure fish oil I'm not entirely sure what that means in practice so I struggle to see the justification for the price asked for these.In summary, an absolutely fine product, as far as I can tell, but unless I had a very good reason to triple my spend on this type of supplement then I wouldn't.

Unless you have a pretty healthy diet it's unlikely you currently get enough - especially if you eat junk or processed food.There are three types of omega 3 oils, one from plant sources and two from marine sources. ALA or alpha-Linolenic acid is found in sources such as walnuts, flaxseed oil and hemp oil, and particularly sought by vegetarians and vegans. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are both found in marine sources such as squid oil, krill and oily fish.The best source of omega 3 would be a mixed diet of fresh oily fish (salmon, anchovies, sardine, tuna, trout) plus nuts and seeds, but for many of us living a modern life that would be tricky. And fresh fish is very expensive. So I'm taking this supplement from Metagenics, plus I'm eating some nuts each day to top up my ALA. It seems to be helping me maintain a good standard of health, so I'm happy. If I was to obtain my omega 3 from fresh fish I'd be paying a great deal more than the cost of this supplement, and looked at in that light, the price tag becomes far more acceptable.TIPI do recommend keeping this supplement somewhere cool, and it's important to avoid fats that have oxidised - so make sure you take them continuously rather than keep forgetting until they go out of date.

Not all Omega 3 / Fish oils are created equal! There are so many out there on the market but not all are purely sourced or contain the right amount of EPA and DHA. This one is 1050mg which in my experience is a standard strength and not high. Nit picky but true. The EPA is 600mg and DHA is 400mg which is the lowest dose needed in order to be effective. So it ticks the boxes on that front. Enough of the good stuff and on researching this company - I trust the purity claims and the provenance.

£38 for 60 capsules is extremely expensive. When you look at the amount of Omega 3 in these capsules, you can get the same for far less and at the same quality point. The thing that makes these stand out is that they come in a glass and not a plastic bottle. That's all well and good but it does not justify £38 for a 2-month supply. If you share with your partner or child/children, you'd be paying that monthly- it's just not justifiable in my opinion.They are easy to swallow but so are the other omega 3 capsules I've had at like a third of the price- these are identical to most omega 3 capsules you can buy. Nothing really distinguishes them.

This was my favourite go to product and only fish oil subscription I would recommend to anyone until the last order. One of the bottles I received contained rancid product. The firm told me that one or two of the capsules may have splitted. Lost my trust on Pattern UK to deliver these products in safe to use condition.
