Source Global Universal Add a Rod, 28-Inch to 70-Inch, Metallic Gold

Excellent product! So happy that someone designed and marketed this. Turn just about any curtain rod into a double so you can put a sheer behind it or layer curtains for a great designer look. Very well made and sturdy. Purchased the gold which is a very nice satin color, not a cheap, shiny yellow looking gold like I was concerned it would be. The black has a bit of shine to it but still very well made and high-end looking. These are just wonderful!Addition to this review: Watch the prices! I placed 3 in my cart and came back later to buy them and the price went up over 8 dollars each. So I moved them to the "save for later" section and I searched for a better price and found them elsewhere for 7 dollars less than the price they were before they went up. Then went back in today to delete them out of my "save for later" section and they had gone back down to the original price again. Hum tricky business going on here, oh well they lost they sale and I saved over 21.00 going elsewhere. yay for me though:)

A bit annoyed with this purchase. Product works as needed, with a few adjustments. However, although it says it extends to 70", most curtain rods at that length have a center support that would require you to use two of these add a rods instead of one. It should at least contain two extra hooks to account for that instead of having to buy two units. If not, then it shouldn't be advertised as being able to extend that distance with the use of just one. Also, whoever decided to cut the ends of the zip ties holding the rods together needed to at least file the edges. Got myself a nice gash reaching in to take it out of the package.

Great product and an easy fix for my issue. I had tried to use a tension curtain rod behind my curtains but the tension rod just fell down and wasn't sturdy enough.****It was very very hard to this item on Amazon- I repeatedly searched for things such as "add a rod curtain rod" on Amazon and this did not come up. I was stumped as to why Amazon would not sell this style of rod since they are sold elsewhere and sold out everywhere I looked. I was searching elsewhere off the Amazon site and found a link that brought me to this on Amazon.

updating my review: They are still holding after several years. I found this review because i now have a need for adding a blockout curtain as the most inside layer...visiting grand babies need dark for naps. I have to find a solution.First review: The first one I ordered I returned. I couldn't get the pieces apart. totally jammed in. The second 2 (turned out I needed 2) were easier to separate but I am skeptical they will hold up. I love the idea, and already had 2 source global poles. 1 up high for a very long valance and another at 84" for a panel. When we got new (Casement) windows the verticals didn't fit so I had a situation...privacy in a bedroom. After lots of thought I decided to put in sheers and solid gullible panels over. That meant 3 layers, or adding another. This worked to add the sheer layer BUT I am glad it isn't holding a heavier drape! The little hooks that push into the end of the rods just aren't stable, even with a screw. I won't be surprised if they come loose if tugged on but it is the best/only option I found. OTOH, I love the heavier rods. yes, I used the center from the main pole and had to buy 2 sets. If I hadn't had the 2 poles already (several years) another rod would have been cheaper.

I was trying to find a replacement curtain rod that was a triple. I was about to give up when I came across these. I wanted to be able to hang a valance, a window shear and a room darkening shade. These are perfect and I'm so happy with the result. I have a very wide double window that this was going over. I ordered 2 of these. I was concerned that on the center mount I would end up with a gap because the two would have to be one behind the other on the center curtain rod mount. But there really is no discernible gap or separation in my window shears. This was such an easy solution and so much cheaper than replacing all of the brackets for the triple.

I ordered the pewter color which was more expensive than the black color rod I received at the time of placing my order. I am 9 months pregnant and in full nesting mode so “little” disappointments like this are huge annoyances. I want what I paid extra for but when getting the product the quality didn’t impress me. Furthermore with being about to have a baby any day now, having to send back a product is an unnecessary task on my list of things I already have to do. Sending returns is very annoying. I’d probably just let it go but there’s a price difference between the colors and the color I ordered is low in stock.

Description says universal however these will only work on round Brackets. I like the product idea but I had to return these because they would not fit. They may work well on round brackets but do will not if you have a flat ones.

Love these rods, used them to add sheers to my daughter's bedroom, the bad thing about these is that the manufacturer simply painted over the screws with white paint, this causes a host of problems. Firstly, when you screw them in to the rod, little paint flakes will fall everywhere, in my case my baby's crib, not cool. Secondly, since the screws are painted they are slightly larger than the holes and requires a wrench or pliers to turn, manufacturer needs a serious re-design of this cheap process.
