Beautiful if you do everything right!
The tank is shown are after a full month. I took these pictures on 3/1/2025.So what I noticed from the reviews is that a lot of people were pointing out and complaining about the grass carpet seeds having a sticky substance to them. I can reassure you that this stickiness is mainly to allow them to securely stick to the gravel or whatever sultrate that you use for the fish tank along with decorations and tree bark. If you don't like it, don't buy it!So here is what I did and how both the carpet grass and the long grass grew. Keep in mind that this is just a 10 gallon tank. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter what size tank you use.So when I essentially ordered the seas I had already cycled the tank. In other words, I let the water sit there and established itself with the filter for around a week and a half to 2 weeks.I thought that you had to leave the water almost to ground zero for a while, but in reality it is best if you have the fish tank filled with water. So with the grass carpet seeds yes, that sticky substance they have? You actually have to guide him to whatever gravel that you have with your hand. The gravel that I use is the one that you can usually find at Walmart. It is nothing fancy and look how they flourished. Basically with the grass carpet you want to actually mix it with the gravel with your hands with the tank, fill with water or if you prefer half water. They do stick on your skin but I didn't suffer any irritation. It is completely safe. I pretty much did the same thing with the Long grass seeds. Unless you want to have them at a very specific place. This is the best way to go.Afterwards, I just kept the eye on them and I made sure that the filter was running. I kept the light on most of the time. This may be different for you if you have a larger tank or pay an arm and a leg for electricity. I don't have to pay for electricity. It is very important that the water is filled or at least halfway filled and that the bubbler is enabled. This allows oxygen to be in the tank. Literally after a couple of hours one of the grass carpet seeds had already sprouted. Of course it was small but I couldn't believe it. Just like in the pictures that you see in the description on the product, they grow naturally at the time ranges shown. The grass carpet is growing so much that I have to trim a little bit of it, which is great. The long grass tends to die a teeny tiny bit; more than likely because the grass carpet is choking them out a little bit but it's nothing drastic and it's nothing to be alarmed about. This is very natural. Now would I recommend it? Of course because my fish are happy and when I showed this to one of the employees at Petco they were stunned and thought it was beautiful. I 100% recommend the seller and I also 100% recommend these seeds. 🤗😊

Really Good Seeds
These seeds are great. They work perfectly just as described. It's a very simple process to get the seeds germinated and growing. I emptied my tank moved fish to a temporary tank. I only left enough water to keep the substrate wet. I spead the seeds out how I wanted to see them grow. I used a spray bottle of water and sprayed the seeds twice a day until day 10 and kept the hood light on day and night. In 4 days, small sprouts of tall and short grass started popping up. Tall grass grew about a inch per day. By day 10 tall grass was about 8inches and short grass was about 1/4 inch tall. At this point I added a few other plants and filled the tank with water. Keep in mind if you put seeds on your decorations, i.e. rocks or driftwood, those seeds will germinate slower than the seeds on the wet substrate. Once I filled the tank with water those seeds started to sprout on the decorations. My photos show day 1 to day 14, I highly recommend these seeds if you want to grow your own aquarium grass. Just make sure you do everything the right way and you'll have great looking grass.

[UPDATE] Slow Germination, be mindful of your substrate
The short, blanket plants did not grow at all. The tall grass started to grow after a couple of days, after deceptively appearing to mold. The roots appear fuzzy at the beginning of germination but soon turn to grass. I am nervous about adding water, given other reviews that indicate their grass died shortly after adding water.UPDATE: The tall grass roots took well, but the grass turned brown after a while, and I pulled it out. The shorter blanket plants started to sprout, but well after the tall grass was on its way to needing water for support. I used the larger, round shrimp substrate, so it was harder for the blanket plants to take root. When I added water, a lot of the plants floated to the top and got stuck in the filter. Ungerminated seeds are floating all over my tank as well.

Heat, light, 2X daily misting, sprouts nicely!
For what it is, I’m very happy. It was a bit of a task to get the seeds to sprout, reading the instructions matters. My home was too cool, so we spent about 3 weeks waiting for sprouts. I added a heat lamp to the 2 grow lights and literally the next day we had sprouts. I also mixed aquarium fertilizer in my watering spray bottle.I wrapped some foil around the tank to help with Heat retention. We planted in November, this review is in January. The grass came in nicely, but once the leafs came in, they choked out the grass. Honestly, I’m ok with it. I didn’t separate them so that’s on me. The tank has been running for a couple months and is doing great!Different lights change the vibrance of the color too.

Mini-Leaf is tricky to grow, but worth it
There seem to be a lot of poor reviews on this item from people who couldn't get the mini-leaf grass to grow. All seeds sent ARE viable, but the mini-leaf grass is a bit trickier to sprout. What I did was I mixed the seeds in with a small amount of water and aquarium gravel then placed the mix in a tupperwear container with the lid cracked for ventilation. I then placed the container in front of a sunny window and left it alone for a couple weeks before the seeds sprouted and I transplanted them into my paludarium.
