Great set of pads
No noise. Bedded in really quick. Seemed to wear a bit faster than original Hope, but I donโt mind replacing them a little more often as they bite well and appear to be noise free.

Noticeably worse than genuine Hope pads!
Note firstly that these are not Hope pads, they're made by EBC for Hope brakes. They fit fine and come with the necessary extras - pins, spring etc. And would probably be fine if you're not doing serious riding (but you probably have E4 brakes on the bike for a reason...) I thought I'd put these in my E4 brakes in place of Hope original pads in preparation for some enduro/Downhill riding in Morzine area but had no end of trouble with them - Under warm and dry conditions (25deg) they glazed over after a few runs, would not stop shrieking and lost braking power. The same thing happened on the front and back, and then the consequent heat build-up (i think) caused some of my E4 pistons to start sticking and they wouldn't release properly. I cleaned and (silicone) oiled the pistons and they worked ok for a run then stuck again (brakes squealing and poor stopping power the whole time). I was carrying spare Hope manufactured organic pads, so I decided to put them in the front to see if the problem was with the pads or the calipers - it solved all the issues straight away - no more sticking pistons, full power and no noise, so i got some hope pads and put them in the back as well - no more issues for the next two days of riding! So I don't know what's wrong with these EBC pads, but I won't be using non-Hope pads in them again! (I've also subsequently had my brakes serviced by Hope just to be sure). (I also bought some sintered EBC pads, but i've thrown them away still in the packet)

Wrong Spring Supplied
Pads Ok, will replace existing EBC's fitted. The wrong spring is supplied in the packet. I see someone else also has had this issue a few months back. Seems like these reviews are of no real value. Who reads them other than potential cunstomers ? Do the manufacturers ever get to see the issues ? If so how come the wrong parts are still being supplied ?

Buyer Beware - Poor Product
These are genuine CRAP. First up the retaining pin did not fit through the holes in the pad or spring, so had to get a needle file to tidy up the holes. Should have taken the warning. Fitted pin and tightened but before fully engaged the internal head had rounded off. I now have a Hope E4 calliper with a stuck pin. To compound the problem the pads are rather thick and I cannot even use the bike now as the pads bind against the rotor and not being able to get the pin out I can't adjust anything. Genuine? Genuine crap is my view. I only gave it 1 star because 0 or -5 wasn't an option.

Wrong Spring
The pads themselves are fine, however the two pairs I bought were shipped with the wrong springs - they are too narrow to fit around the pads. Thankfully I still had the original Hope one I could reuses
