A-Zoom 45 Colt Dummy Rounds
Excellent quality practice rounds for my 454. I keep A-Zoom in all my unloaded handguns during storage too. Thanks

Antique Rifle Training Ammo
Purchased for training in antique Winchester 1873 rifle. These worked great. Tried 2 other training ammo brands with metal cases and plastic bullet heads but did not work as the seam between metal and plastic was not smooth enough and would hang up as fed into chamber. These however work great/no issue. Kept one set of the other type as they work fine for antique revolver six shooters but not for my rifle which is a bit more finicky about ammo. Real ammo also feeds fine in the rifle, so believe those plastic headed training rounds are not manufactured with tolerances of real ammo. So if want training rounds for auto pistol or antique rifle, recommend these.

Excellent Dry Firing Cartridges
I bought these .45 Long Colt, dry firing shells to practice loading and dry firing in my Schofield revolver. They work great, though they don't replicate the weight of an actual cartridge. The rubber used for the primer area of the cartridge is durable and will withstand many hours of dry firing practice also protecting the firing pin on the hammer from damage. Highly recommended!

Great product BUT a warning for revolver owners.....
I wanted to practice quick loading with my Taurus Judge Magnum 3" and ordered one set of the Snap caps in 45 Colt ammo size. They are sized identically to an actual 45 LC round and are great for practicing loading, trigger pull (without any damage to the firing pin), and they don't scratch or get stuck in the chamber at all. They have a dark red shiny finish that actually does not scratch at all. BUT I found a little problem that people might run into upon using their Snap-caps: I chambered 5 of the snap caps and then shut the chamber into the gun...but I noticed that the chamber needed extra pushing to get engaged into the gun, like there was something blocking it or dragging. I really had to force the chamber in! Usually it slides in and engages like butter...Then I tried pulling the trigger and each time it was like they were locked - I could not pull the trigger with one finger at all and the chamber would not rotate...I found out that a few of the Snap Caps' dead caps had excess plastic material sticking out past the end of the bullet. This was causing a jam in the revolvers action and rotation because the plastic dead cap was protruding out so far it scraped and dragged against the gun itself. I had to get some nail clippers and my wife's nail file to remove the amount of excess material. Feeling the other snap cap rounds, the correctly made dead caps were pushed in below the end of the bullet where you could run your finger across it and not feel a thing. On the "bad" rounds, there were obvious dead cap protrusions felt by running a finger across them. So - very innovative product and great for practice loading while you watch TV or kill time. But hopefully you don't get the defect where the dead cap protrudes out past the end of the bullet "casing." Here is some info printed on the back of the package: - "Non-explosive Dummy Rounds Ideal for Training" - "Solid Aluminum Construction" - "Hard Anodized" Finish, Ultra Smooth, Scratch resistant" - "Dead Cap Protects Firing Pin" - "Teach or Learn Safe gun Handling" - "Dry fire Thousands of Times without Damage" - "Ideal for training, Storage, Function Testing, Cowboy Action" - "Handles like Real Ammo!"

Great for Mounted shooting beginners
Use these for dry firing my mounted shooting Cimarron thunderers. Fit great, work great feels like they absorb a ton of shock, making sure the life of my firearm doesn't diminish while I am practicing or trying to strengthen my hands. Some people suggested just using spent brass instead of buying blanks. Not a bad idead however, now you have to look for the hammer notch on ever piece of brass. With the snap caps you can just spin the barrel and see they are clearly your snap caps and not have to worry about accidently shooting what you thought was spent brass or misfired brass.

Great for Cowboy Action Shooters
I've been using these for over a decade for dry firing practice in my Uberti revolvers and rifle. The sets I started with are still in service, and although some of the finish is a bit worn, they still work like new. I just bought a new set to use in my rifle, and they exhibit the same quality as my older sets. If you're looking to practice rapid fire through a Winchester 1873 or similar rifle, I recommend filing or sanding off a section of the rim of one of the snap caps. This way the snap cap stays in place in the chamber and isn't ejected, so you can dry fire to your heart's content without worrying about reloading or having to pick snap caps up off the floor.

Solid choice
These a-zoom snap caps are great. I have several other sizes, and these are my go to. Excellent quality, fair price, exactly what you’d expect. I’ve never had any fitment issues.

Works great and try not to loose them

A-Zoom snap caps are the ones I have come to rely on. The metal construction has stood up over time of cycling and dry firing, other brands seem to crack or rims tear/break off from extraction. they are great for practice when you can't get to the range and you want to work on your trigger squeeze, pull weight adjustment or cycling practice, and a must have for shotguns where there is only one way to release the firing pin spring for storage and that is pull the trigger. These ones are being used in a lever rifle as opposed to a revolver handgun and there has been no issues with them.

Great product fast delivery

Good dummy rounds. Helpful to safely work on feeding/chambering issues in a levergun. They do get dinged and chewed up, but that is to be expected.
