Loved it, sold it anyways and then bought it again
I bought this mostly for macros on land and for an occasional water excursion. I loved it but moved up to larger macro gear so I sold it to a friend. I missed it as its so portable and allows me to take macros without my larger gear or if I am traveling light so I bought it again. Its an amazing little camera with multiple settings options, is waterproof and is super rugged for any wildlife/outdoor adventure. With a little tweaking of settings, you can get some amazingly close photos of little things and its alot of fun to play with. The battery life is good but once the battery dies, there is no warning, it just dies so keep a spare on you at all times. I added some photos of land macros I took using this camera combined with the FD-1 flash. If you want to get into macro but don't want to spend a fortune, this is a great choice and I love all the OM Systems products as they are quality and a good value for the money

Perfect for outside adventures!
It’s a great, durable, no-nonsense point and shoot camera. Not much thinking, just press the button and take the photo. At only 12MP it’s still powerful & processes photos beautifully. Low light is hit or miss ass the sensor is small, but it’s waterproof, shockproof, iceproof & basically life-proof lol. Landscapes and brightly lit backdrops are this cameras strong suit. Has filters & different settings for different backdrops & scenery, but also has a raw shooting mode, perfect for editing. It’s compact & good for road trips & everyday occasions. If you’re a serious photographer looking for a serious camera, I don’t think you’ll benefit from this lol but it’s great for memories on the fly where you don’t have to think; just pull out & shoot.

Great Everyday Carry Camera
I bought this nice little camera for everyday carry. I have high end DSLR and mirrorless cameras along with pro lenses from Nikon and Olympus, so I'm not expecting this little guy to beat those other cameras out in image quality. This is a small, rugged, and waterproof camera that can be put in a pocket and exposed to harsh environments. It takes pretty good pictures and video. I partially LOVE the macro modes. I bought the guide light and silicone jacket accessories for it. With focus stacking and the guide light this little guy is very fun to explore the smaller things all around us. Put it in one of the scene modes or leave it in full auto to take photos of events, landscapes, people, etc. Again, it won't beat out its big brothers, but is excellent for everyday carry. As the old saying goes: the best camera is the one you have with you. Some would argue that a cellphone fits this space better. I disagree. This thing is cheaper than the high end cellphones, is more durable (both shock and waterproof), it has advanced computational photography features, and it has a whole ecosystem of accessories. I like the GPS features to include compass, altitude, and temperature. You can geo tag your photos and videos. You can also shoot in RAW format and import your pictures to your favorite photo editor. The free OM Workspace works just fine. Finally, the camera connects easily to the free OI.Share app on your phone so you can send your photos there to share with others. I love this little camera.

Initial impression - just ok
I already own OM System OM-5, so setting up and operating this camera was very straight forward. Using it underwater was a different story. I primarily bought this camera to take pictures and videos underwater while snorkeling. While it held up without a waterproof case at shallow depths, the camera was extremely difficult to use as the LCD screen is fairly small and not that bright. Framing shots was a real challenge - while I could clearly see fish when not looking at the camera, it was really difficult to see anything on the LCD. Using a tray would have helped keeping the camera steady, but aiming and framing would still be an issue. The picture quality is okay, do not expect miracles as the camera sensor is only 12MP. In fact, underwater I got better results using my Samsung S22 in a waterproof case. Due to small sensor size, there is not a whole lot of room when it comes to cropping for those situations when you cannot get close enough to your subject, which is typical when capturing wildlife. I also found that keeping the horizon level is not that easy despite having the level indicator on the LCD, since the camera itself is so small. Finally, durability is a suspect, as one corner already has a scratch now after single use (see the photo).

Great camera
Nice camera. Easy to carry everywhere which makes it great for street photography. Love that it is waterproof and usable in all weather.

Satisfied So Far With This Little Gem
It really is super small and compact. I went with the super bright red option because I will be using this primarily for scuba diving underwater photography and videos. I am a little concerned with the battery life so far as it runs down fast even when not in use or while flipping through the screen options. I dislike the battery compartment and find it super easy to insert the battery the wrong way. A person must buy multiple batteries I believe to stay completely satisfied and the OM battery charger sold separately is a wise investment as well. The battery door and USPC compartments are a little flimsy as well. The image quality is very good, and it is a fairly easy camera to operate. I have only taking it diving 4 times since I purchased it and it seems pretty sturdy and tough. Overall, I would recommend this camera to anyone who doesn't want to invest too much in heavy weight, lenses, and needs a good compact camera for basic photography purposes.

Poor Quality Images
The T-7 camera shipped to me arrived in a plain carboard box instead of the kind of container you expect to find with an expensive camera. All the hardware components were there but the operator's manual was missing. To obtain the manual required contacting OM. The only manual available on their website was for the T-6 model which the T-7 replaces. The manual is a must have as the user interface for this camera is complex. Pointing the camera at a person or scene produced high quality image on the display on the back side of the camera, but the image captured by the camera even in the fully automatic mode never looked as good as the image on the camera's display prior to capture. The unit I received had a problem with its autofocus function. It invariably produced low quality, slightly out of focus, images. I don't know if this was a defect in the unit I received, a problem created by using the wrong settings, or a design flaw in the camera. Whatever it was, I was unable to make the camera capture crisp in focus images. I returned the camera for a full refund. Although the T-6 has an excellent reputation and especially as an underwater camera, I would not recommend the T-7 given my experience.

Perfect for rugged travel
Got this for a trip to Central America so we would have something durable and water resistant. I've had past Olympus tough cameras and was happy with them - this model continues that trend. The camera is highly durable surviving bangs and bumps on rocks, trees, floors, etc. It did well in water (swimming with sharks, boating, on the beach, river rafting, etc) and on land. Battery life was fine (I supplemented it with some additional third party batteries just to ensure I had enough power). Picture quality is good to excellent depending on your expectations and the conditions around you. The video function works really well and we got some great videos with the camera as well. Overall a fun camera with great functionality and great photo and video abilities.

Worth a look
I like this one. Have used it for macro photography and got some great results. Took it to Indonesia for underwater photography and video and the results were pretty good for something at this price. It is difficult to see what you’re shooting underwater on the small screen - but point and shoot and hope for the best.

Good build quality. Well insulated against salt water. Reasonable picture quality. Very good small diving camera overall.

Broken item
It’s system broke down me after 4 months of normal use. The back screen monitor turned black out of sudden . I’ve send it back to the repair center. Cost me money 140$ for shipping. Now it’s been a week with no answer from Olympus team. Will keep you updated if status changed :(
