Secrets...
I knew there was a reason why Alex McDowell wanted Miss Edi near Jocelyn. I am happy how in the end the dots were connected. However I still don't understand why Alex financed Ms Edi's stay @ Boca. And the secrets of the whole town & families. Luke alone had a lot. But I'm glad that Jocelyn & Luke found each other. He certainly helped her a lot unraveling the mysteries of Ms Edi's life.

For a good time, call Jude Deveraux
I don't normally like "Romances" but I love Jude Deveraux's and always have, not because they are literature, but because they are fun.She shows a very clever sense of humor that takes them out of the realm of "ordinary". They are always a good story and always a pleasure to read. I don't read them for education; I read them for just plain fun and enjoy every minute of them. I also like that they are usually a series of interconnected books, so you can continue to enjoy the characters in further exploits. There are things to be learned about Scottish history and antebellum America, but the main attraction, which cannot be over emphasized is that they are fast and fun and a lovely way to spend an afternoon or two.

Looking for a bookcation? This is it!
Jude Deveraux's Edilean Series is so much fun to read! The twists and turns in Lavender Morning are so unexpected that you won't be able to put this book down! The characters are well-developed and likeable, and the inhabitants of Edilean are so interesting that you'll be looking for another book in the series ASAP!Jude Deveraux seems to write for those of us who want the fantasy. The Happy-Ever-After. The over-the-top characters and situations. If you are looking for gritty realism and everyday encounters, for everyday problems to plague the heroine, then you won't like this particular New York Times best-selling author. If you want a happy read that is full of characters with personality and a zest for life, then try this out.Jude has written about 60 books, I believe, most of them on the best-seller list. So dive right in and enjoy this particular one!

Idylls of Edilean
I’m a big fan of the interesting cast of characters in the Edilean series and Lavendar Morning is one of the most charming stories about the people who founded or who have lived in Edilean over the years. There’s always a complicated love story, supported or not by the towns residents and complicated issues to resolve.

I would recommend it to a friend
I enjoyed the story. It was somewhat predictable, however. I did like the part about her grandparents during the war. My book club enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to a friend.

Lavender Morning
I loved this book. The first in the Edilean series of romance and intrigue. The story begins in Scotland in the 1700s and moves to Virginia, following the inhabitants of the town of Edilean. There are 9 books so far and I would reccomend every one.

Also spoilers beware!
This is the first book I've read by this author & I enjoyed the first 3/4 of it very much, despite the annoying Joce! However the end is unnecessary & abrupt, I really don't see why Clare has to come back essentially from the dead & I don't think it improves the story since all we then get are pages & irritating pages of Joce crying. If he had remained dead it would all have been much more plausible, perhaps too much editing going on as it seemed too contrived & hurried. If you don't mind dodgy endings then give this a go & its worth it.
