Review: Easy to use - Bought this to make a keel guard for my fishing kayak. Worked great! Just hit it with a heat gun for a few minutes then form it up against whatever you're trying to cover. Nice and flexible once its hot just have to watch out that you dont overheat it, if the texture starts changing then its too hot, if you go any farther it will start to bubble and burn. Thse sheets were the perfect size for my project, and made an awesome scractch and scrape resistant barrier over the common wear areas on my kayak. Way cheaper than buying one of the pre formed keel guards plus in my opinion the smoother texture of this is going to cut through the water nicer. Great little DIY project that only took a few hours and was less than a quarter of the price of a pre-made one.

Once cooled, this material will keep the shape of the item that was used to mold the shape into place. In its cooled state, it is very durable and light weight. It is used widely in thermoform holster making, cosplay costume creation, removable surface coverings, keel guard protectors, and much more.
- Texture: P1 Hair Cell | Type: T (A Grade): The texture applied to the surface of the Kydex sheet is referred to as P1 “Hair Cell”. This is a reference to the size and shape of the texture grain and is common on many Kydex items seen in the marketplace. P1 is the most common texture for holsters, sheaths, and other carry items. The texture on Kydex sheet is uniform across the surface of the material and produces a non-reflective, scratch resistant finish.
- Easy to form: To use Kydex thermoform sheet, score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered. Heat the material to a 300-375 degree Fahrenheit range and place over object. Using forming foam, press the material around the object and allow it to cool in position. Once cooled, remove and sand edges to desired shape. (Detailed instructions included with order.)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Made a bike bash guard. Easy to form.

Made a bash guard for my electric mountain bike. Even better than a mass produced one. A fine toothed saw blade at low speed is best for cutting. it can be done with a very sharp utility knife and scoring again and again and but you get the idea. Takes a long time to cut this stuff with a sharp blade. Saw is better and safer. I read up on the heat to use in the oven, and wore cloth mechanic gloves when handling the hot plastic sheet to form into my bash guard. Using hook and loop straps to keep it secured tot he bike. Worked mint!!
