Rick Steves Pocket Paris (Fifth Edition) : Openshaw, Gene, Steves, Rick, Smith, Steve: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Paris guide - Looks great but need to confirm this summer! Review: This book fits easily into a trouser pocket and so is a nice companion for those who (like me) prefer their city guides to be in old-fashioned paper form. The coverage is not as wide-ranging as, say, the DK Top 10 guide, preferring to focus on a few key experiences rather than trying to do too much in the space available. These (Louvre, Notre Dame, Orsay, and a selection of suggested city walks) are presented in a very practical and down to earth way. The book was very handy for my February 2025 visit to the City of Light. I still think that MIchael Middleditch's Paris Mapguide is by far the best pocket guide to the city (the maps are amazing) but unfortunately the 8th edition was the last, as the author died in December 2012. This Rick Steves book is cordially recommended.

Love this book! This was a lifesaver for planning my trip. The maps, suggested itineraries, secret spots, tips, and more make planning a breeze. I love the size - it allowed me to throw it in my bag to reference while out and about. Rick Steves delivers every time!

Exactly what I was looking for...smallish but with enough info on each tourist attraction that I am interested in.
