HeatIt 5430498 Wall Thermostat - Black

First: there isn't much support in terms of how to mount this, do you add to a standard single electrical box? what?I ended up just gettin' creative after blasting a hole in the wall for it to sit in, got it to sit flush but not ideal!Second: firmware updates... apparently there is a $70 cable which you would need to purchase to be able to flash a new firmware on this.... bit of a joke really, no pinouts or anything for usb-rs232 > uart.Third, trying to get this to pair/include with a "AEON Labs ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5" so far has been fruitless, (will update if / once I have sorted with how but I reset the AEON Labs ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5 and started fresh, picked up my other z-wave devices but I just keep getting "ERR" on the Heatit display( I am using this with a Pi3 and Home Assistant (Hassbian)Fourth, The display is kinda basic for 2019, this could have had alot more put into it, for around £140 I would have expected "Error" instead of "ERR" or "Connection" instead of "Con"I am sure once I have spent silly hours trying to get to grips with the basics of this it will just run smooth but I won't be purchasing any Heatit products again, IMO overpriced for not very much.

Before buying this unit please note that you have to buy additional external temp. sensor in order for the current room temperature to display on the unit otherwise you will only see the set temperature on the unit.

Great product, works well. I use it with Fibaro HCL with no problems

Some of them works some of them doesn't.Also it's very overpriced full plastic - very cheap feeling.

This is a really good piece of kit. Works like a charm with my Fibaro system and looks 100% better than the stock danfos one fitter to my Larkfleet home.This could also be used as I direct replacement to a standard heating system thermostat without a home automation system.Very pleased!
