I had a dancing flower that had a solar cell that was too small so the light had to be too close to make it 'dance'. Connected one of these solar cells to the flowers and now the light can be farther away. Works much better now.

Worked exactly as expected on a scale architectural model.

These cells are very small and would not work to power the simple machines I use in school for inquiries. Also the quality is terrible. I was demonstrating to the class how important it is to be careful that the wires do not pull out and the wires fell out. Very disappointed.

So a solar company had a gingerbread house challenge. I out my 5 year old to work building the house and I wired the panels to some small led Christmas lights... 1st place in their national challenge.. The panels worked great for our application. One panel would light the lights but using all of them made it light them with less ambient light. These were great for the price. No idea what to do with them now but we will find something 🙂

Solar cells functioned as advertised. They are coated and don’t get too hot in full sun. I used them to charge a couple of supercapcitors in series that powers a small pulse motor I built.

Works great, pre-wired nicely, and not brittle like some other cells.

There is a reason their promotion video has them hooking up to “rechargeable” batteries. These panels don’t work by themselves (and they should… you shouldn’t need batteries). I bought 2 batches and no panels worked in either batch. I’m an electrical engineer, I know how circuits work. Don’t waste your money. I’m returning.
