Thumbs Way Up- A Cult Classic to Me
In my opinion, James McAvoy is the real star of this action-packed dark comedy. The movie is really all about his character. Jolie, of course, is great. You thought the driving in Gone in 60 Seconds was great? You ain't seen nothing yet! What can one say about Morgan Freeman, right? C'mon... Even though I know how it ends, (and there are MANY twists and turns along the way to that end), I still enjoy it very time I watch it. No spoiler alert here. You have to see it for yourself. For adults only. Extreme violence, language, sex/nudity, gore AND comic relief- a lot of comic relief. Outstanding special effects.

Fun assassin movie!
This is actually pretty fun! Silly concepts of "bending" a bullet, but I enjoy!

Not a good translation of the comic but great in its own right
++ STORY & BACKGROUND ++Wanted is a film based very loosely on a comic book miniseries of the same name. If you go in as a fan of the comic expecting a perfect translation, then you will be disappointed. The movie was heavily modified from its comic book roots to be tailored for the mainstream audience. Some of the characters, such as Wesley & Fox, were created with Eminem and Halle Berry in mind and their personalities reflect this while other characters either switched places or were molded together. Some of the changes are significant such as leaving out a more detailed explanation of the fraternity, the super-villian angel, etc.The movie does stand proudly on its own merits. It is filled with many action scenes and tense interactions between the characters.++ ACTING ++The acting is what you expect in a film. They play up Angelia Jolie's sex appeal including advertising a scene where you briefly see the naked backside of her character for a split moment who, turns out, was a butt stunt double.++ QUALITY ++The quality of the film is an excellent transfer let it be on DVD or Blu-Ray. I do enjoy the slow motion bullet curving in the 3D edition of the film.++ DISC EXTRAS ++Depending upon which version of the film you pick up, there can and are plenty of extras for you to be had from extended scenes to an alternate opening.++ CONCLUSION ++A definite must have for any film buffs collection especially if you are a fan of action/adventure films.

A Great Action Movie
This wonderful gem--based on a comic book of the same name--features Wesley Gibson, a mild-mannered accountant working at a big firm, who is stifled in every area of his life. Work, girlfriend, money--everything frustrates him...but he can't seem to muster up the courage to speak up for himself. Plus, he has to fight constant migraines, which he takes medication for and assumes are due to his frustrating life. But he's about to find out that there's a lot more to him than he ever could have imagined.Featuring James McAvoy (who, prior to this was mostly known for playing Paul Bettany's brother in Wimbledon and Mr. Tumnus in the first Chronicles of Narnia), who is still far away from being Professor X at this point, this movie also has Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie in key roles (and even features a young Chris Pratt, as Wesley's office mate and cheating lover of Wesley's girlfriend).Wesley is approached out of the blue by Fox (Jolie), who tells him that his headaches aren't migraines--that in fact, they're due to his heart beating more than 200 times per minute because he's the son of a specialized assassin. Wesley thinks she's nuts...until he gets caught in the middle of an insane firefight between Fox and a mysterious man who seems to be hunting him. Wesley is eventually introduced to The Fraternity, a league of assassins that Fox is a member of, and which is led by a man named Sloan (Freeman). He finds out that these unique people have all sorts of crazy skills that no one else has, and that using a Loom Of Fate, which produces cloth that somehow determines who Fate wants to be eliminated, they have been the agents who eliminate problems for 1,000 years.Wesley is told that the mysterious man Fox had the gun battle with is a rogue member of this Fraternity who killed his father and is trying to eliminate the other members, and that Wesley is the only one who can follow in his father's footsteps and track him down. But first, he has to learn from the other Fraternity members how to do close-quarter combat, knife fighting, reduce his reactions to pain, shoot, and most incredibly of all, bend bullets in flight with his mind.Through it all, Wesley starts to become a stronger person, more willing to speak up on his own behalf, and become a cool, confident man like his father was. He is eventually sent on kill missions, where the amazing talents of himself and Fox are put on wonderful display. Eventually, he is faced with Cross (Thomas Kretschmann), the rogue assassin...and a hugs twist in the narrative that will leave him reeling and wondering just who is who.Featuring a lot of Matrix-style action and gun play, this movie will keep you thoroughly entertained throughout.
