Five stars in spite of the price!
We live in southwestern Oregon on a nice river for summertime floats (inflatable kayaks). We also have several nearby lakes which are good for tubing behind a boat or fishing from inflatable pontoon boats. Suffice to say, we have many types of pumps. Hand pumps just take way too long. The electric pumps are either big volume/low PSI (low cost) or moderate volume/high PSI (and exorbitant cost). All of the electric pumps have to be hooked up to the car battery. Inconvenient. I saw this Flextailgear portable rechargeable pump and immediately ordered it. It arrived today and, to say the least, I'm impressed! First of all, the battery came charged up. This was nice for my demo photos. Second, there are instructions in English on the back of the box as well as on a pamphlet included with the packaging. Note: The English instructions on the pamphlet start about halfway through the document. There are numerous different valves to choose from and you can store your most frequently used valve(s) in the little storage compartment. Operation is actually super easy and pretty intuitive. I selected PSI as my default measurement. I didn't bother selecting a max PSI because I was inflating a cheap vinyl mattress and I didn't know the manufacturer's suggested max. I just planned to inflate until it was firm but not threatening to burst. When I turned it on I realized it is relatively loud (really, the only negative I noted and not a deal-breaker). It took a touch over five to seven minutes to inflate the mattress to a useful firmness. Good but not super fast. I let the pump work to unroll the deflated mattress and it did not struggle at all (see pics). In the end I turned it off at .8 PSI. There was no drop-off in power during the time of usage and I'm sure I could have inflated numerous other items of the same volume as the mattress. The nice part is that I can drop this pump into a dry bag and take it with us on river floats. No more half-inflated kayaks at the pull-out because you got a tiny pin hole. It should be noted that, although this pump is more than capable of properly inflating all of the above listed craft, it does not have the power to properly inflate very high pressure items like inflatable stand up paddleboards (10-15 PSI). That being said, this is a great product at a reasonable price ($77) for what it is. A nice gift idea for the water enthusiast in your family.

Lightweight and Fast
Liked that its easy to pack and use. We sometimes have to manually pump the last air in So much better than manually doing the whole kayak

Convenient size, with good quality, air pressure and a battery to get it done on the go.
The Portable Max Boat Pump by Flextailgear, is a great way to pump up almost anything with ease. With a convenient travel size and included rechargeable battery, this one is worthy of your consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – Its feels like very good quality compared to most boat or mattress pumps. It appears to be made of nice materials and includes a classier look, leaving me to believe it’ll last for a good amount of time, assuming the electronics survive. I’d put it in the lower side of the top tier for portable pumps.II. Performance – It’s worked great for me to inflate boats, tubs, and mattresses with ease. The smaller size makes it easy to bring it along to pump up at the launch spot. It included most tips you might need and conveniently just sits there hanging off the fill hole while it does its job. The pump is powerful enough to do the job so far, but less then plugged in types and will take a bit longer. The 2500mAh battery is far less then I would’ve liked to see, but has also been sufficient to fill up a few things on one charge. The auto shut-off is super convenient, because once you figure out the best pressure for something, you can just set it, do something else and come back when it turns off.Overall, this is a well-made, highly useful little pump that has made inflatable fill-ups so much more convenient and easy. I’ve really enjoyed having this available to me and would recommend it to anyone that could benefit from the battery powered aspect to it. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Piece of Absolute Garbage
Used my pump a whopping one time, then it decided to not turn itself off regardless of my input and kept blowing until its battery died. I plugged it in to charge it, gave it a half an hour, turned it on, and it's dead. If I could give this negative stars, I would. Do not waste your time with this garbage product.

Inflate with ease from manual to automatic!
This is the most stylish portable electric air pump I've seen. It is as simple as pressing a button to start kicking out some decent air pressure. It is advertised to blow up kayaks in particular but you are able to blow just about anything up with it. We have used it mostly for towable tubes. The pump has an extremely small and compact design allowing you to even slide it right into a pant or short pocket! It works well to place in the dash of a boat. Instead of blowing up the tube from shore and dealing with hauling it fully blown up, you can keep the tube compressed and simply blow it up on the boat once you are ready to use it. Additionally it would be ideal if you're looking for a pump to store in a jet ski compartment. There is a feature on the device that automatically detects when the desired pressure is reached forcing the pump to shut off on its own. The pump's small size allows for maximum portability and makes it easy to store in a bag or carry around. Not only can it inflate, but it can also deflate meaning it can completely suction out the item. I am impressed with the battery holding charge as it has proven to do a lot of inflating from a single charge. All of the technology packed into this small unit is an upgrade in the pump industry.
