Great little stainless steel food dish to hang in a cage or carrier. However, I could only give 4 stars because it's not a good choice if you have a playful bunny who wants to toss it around like a toy instead of using it for his food dish. Was going to return for refund, but seller suggested I keep it or donate it and gave refund anyway. Many thanks to a great seller for truly looking out for all their buyers and pets. I will definitely be passing this on to another pet owner who will be able to use it.

It works
I like this because I don't have to go in the Kennel and pick up the food bowl

Fine, just cheap
This is really thin metal, but it functions exactly as it should. Since it's small and for a small animal, the thinness doesn't matter much. It just feels like I could warp or dent it when I wash it.

Should work well
I purchased two of the 26 oz bowls to use in my chicken run for crushed oyster shell and grit. The primary run where I keep their food and water is covered with a tarp. The girls aren't ready for crushed oyster shells yet, so I haven't hung these in the run yet.I considered using feed bowls, but they always dump anything placed in a bowl on the ground.Since these will hang inside the run from the wires, I'm hoping they will be used and not spilled all over the ground.I may have to make minor adjustments to make them work and keep them stable, but I really like the fact that the bowl comes out of the holder for cleaning and filling and I can place them at a level for easy access, but reduced risk of being spilled all over. They were inexpensive and should serve the needs of my six hens and me and last a long time.My hens aren't ready for crushed oyster shells yet, but I put one of the bowls in their run with a grain mix in it. It hung nicely from the horizontal wire on the run. I may just scatter grit for them and keep the extra bowl for treats or in case something happens to the one I'll use for oyster shell. If I ever need to separate the hens, into separate coops and runs, I'll need both of them for oyster shell. I'm pleased with these.

Good, but metal is too easily bent
This is good, but not great. I've been using this as a food dish for my jack russel, it works incredibly well because I can fill the bowl and it's exactly the amount I need to feed him. However, I've only used one of the four ordered so far and somehow it's become misshapen and has a "tab" of sorts that looks like someone has taken a wire cutter down the sides. To my knowledge, no one has done this, so somehow my jack russel's eating habits are denting the dish. The wire hanger is fantastic, this fits on both crates we have easily and securely. You'd need a super hyper dog to have this knocked off, or a large dog which this isn't meant for. :)The best part is how easy it is to take the dish off the ring to fill it; way easier than the last bowls I bought like this, so my kids have no more trouble feeding our small dog.

Good for rabbits, needs to be tightened though
These are a GREAT deal for the size and price of them. They require one tweak for us, personally, because of how our cage is set up.We got the 26 ounce sized bowl, and it is more than enough for one rabbit per day, and plenty for the two that we have in each cage at the moment. We have a small sized chicken wire on the outside of the cage, and while this does hook onto it, we will have to clamp it much closer together because the rabbits are large enough and smart enough to tip the whole bowl over into their pen. That is really the only issue we have with it, because otherwise it is VERY sturdy, large, easy to clean etc. We are very pleased! Much better than the cheap plastic bowls that you find at the store for pets. You can see they are very happy in the picture lol

Flimsy. Two of these bowls have broken and cracked down the side.
I've bought several of these dishes -- two of the 0.5 lb (8 oz.) bowls and two of the 1 lb (16 oz.) bowls. I have two small dogs (Chihuahuas), and I use the smaller bowls for water in their crates and the bigger ones for their food at mealtimes. I've had no problem with the smaller bowls (though they're pretty small, and I REALLY wish there was a size in-between the 0.5 lb and the 1.0 lb -- that would be the perfect size for me!). HOWEVER, with regard to the 1 lb. (16 oz.) bowls..... One of them has been just fine, but the other one broke and cracked down the side after just a couple weeks of use. Not only is it cracked, but it is bent, so it doesn't fit in the hanger. So, I submitted a return request, but they sent me a replacement bowl instead. That's fine, and I figured it must have just been a fluke with the first one. Well, after less than 10 days, that replacement bowl also broke and cracked down the side. Seriously? How is it that a stainless steel bowl is no match for a little 10 lb. Chihuahua who does nothing more than eat out of it? Well, I'm now just barely past the return window for the original purchase, and since I didn't pay for the replacement bowl, I am unable to get a refund now. I'm really disappointed. Fortunately, I am at least able to use the hanging part with a regular stainless steel bowl from PetSmart. I wish I could recommend this product, but unfortunately, I cannot.

works, but not as stable as would like, doesn't necessarily hang right
I like the idea of these more than the end results. The fact the bowls slip out of the hangers is nice for refilling, cleaning etc. However, I did note that the entire unit has been knocked off the side of the crate more than once (I did not have the bowl knocked out of the hanger as another reviewer noted though). I also found, after buying four bowls, that some hang more evenly/horizontally than others and it is not consistent bowl to bowl. I do plan to try to bend them back to horizontal (they were made inconsistently - it is not shipping damage or anything) - I am just not sure I expected to have to do that. I don't think it is a crate difference since all four hang at different angles in the same spot.A side note of sorts - I have also noticed that the cat on the outside of the crate can easily reach in and grab things out of these since now the food is conveniently hung in a stationary position up against the bars. Just an FYI if you have animals both in and out of the crate and are trying to keep them from eating each others' food for whatever reason.

Cat will drink from it
I needed a cat water bowl that was easy to clean, and would not get knocked over during the night. This fits the bill. I waited to review it, till after it survived some time as I was skeptical. It has held up well and continues to keep cat hydrated overnights. My cats are finicky, and some vessels they will not eat or drink from, and this has risen to the challenge. So far has not rusted or dented, and has not been knocked off the wall. Good value at this price point and will likely buy another for food!

Too fragile. I had to return it
The stainless bowl is great. The wire basket is made of a small gauge wire that flexes even when the bowl is empty. It only hold in position by 2 small spot welding. In my experience, these are the first to fail. If it was somehow brace to offer a stronger hold it would be better. I have big dogs that often kicked at there bowls when I am not fast enough to remove them. They will brake the welding in no time.

Wobbly Dog Dishes
The size of these dishes are quite small. My puppy has no difficulty to dislodge the dish from the hooks and the water usually is spilled by the time I get home from even a short outing. The material is sturdy, however, if the dishes are easily dislodged the contents easily spilled, the purpose of having the dishes in the crate in the first place is not achieved.I have not found the dishes to be very useful.

Mounting bracket solution.
The mounting bracket is very loose and can become unhooked very easily.I used a couple of nylon zip ties? through the lower portion of the bracket to secure it tightly in place.Stays put now although the bowl can be popped out of the bracket if your dog or cat gets under it.

Ordered the wrong size
I'm not too familiar with ounces because here in Canada, we generally use ml or cups. So I ended up with a hampster appropriate bowl for my 40 lb dog haha. Gave it away to a friend with a yorkie. Otherwise, it was fairly well made but because it uses hooks instead of a clamping system, it might be easily jostled and fall off.
