How much does it minimize bust?

Does not minimize bust in the front but will reduce sides.

I’m confused by the size chart. i normally wear a 36dd. what size will fit me?

They are true to size, I usually wear a 34DDD/F. I have ordered all the minimizer style bras in the same size and they all fit perfectly

Does the band ride up at the back?

The band doesn’t ride up on me .I have read if your bra band rides up , it’s too large. Get a flexible fabric tape measure. Measure with a bra on under your bust where your band is. Follow directions on how to measure for a bra. You might need to go up or down on cup size also . If your underwear hurts it’s the wrong cup size .
