Absolutely Wonderful
These were in sale for around 35 euros when I bought them so I decided to take a risk and buy two pairs, as Endura gear is usually very high quality (at a cost). I have to say after a week of wearing these shorts (with and without the liner) I am absolutely delighted with them. They are extremely well made, and the detachable liner is so handy because I can remove it and sit in the shorts all day. The liner is a welcome addition when cycling. I tried out a 60k cycle on my road bike (hard leather saddle) and it was comfortable for around 50k then was a bit sore for the remaining 10k. If you commute or use these for anything under 50k you'll be fine. I'll be keeping an eye on these for the price to drop again. But they are certainly worth it even at 70 euro each. There are soany pockets which are actually useful and usable. There are two vent pockets on both legs to help cool you as you ride. Clipping the liner on is easier done before you put the shorts on, and is a little bit of a stretch clipping the rear which may ev an issue for some (especially if you're older/have less back flexibility). The fit is baggy/loose but in a way that is very comfortable and practical. The main use case for me was a pair of shorts I can cycle in and also wear all day. Highly recommended and will buy again!

Great shorts
I've had endura clothes for a long time, my last pair of shorts lasted a few decades. These are really comfortable and seems to be the same high quality they have always been.

Amazon messed up
Never received them as Amazon decided to send 2 womens beanie hats instead. I'm sure the shorts would be great (as other Endura stuff I own so 5*) but now the price has gone up so thanks Amazon for messing up my order!!

A great pair of shorts but let down by the liner to shorts fastening
These Endura Men's Hummvee Shorts with Liner are nearly a perfect pair of baggy cycling shorts, but there is a big design flaw that really bugs me.The shorts are a great fit. I am 6ft 1" with a 34" waist, and these fit like a glove. They have just the right amount of bagginess (if that is a word). They are roomy, but without being so baggy that you feel like a sailing ship (which I have experienced with other baggy shorts). When I first saw the padding on the liner, I was a bit sceptical about how much comfort they would give when I am in the saddle, however, having used them for a couple of rides now (90 minutes on a road ride, and 50 minutes on roads and light trails), they have been surprisingly good. The short fabric does get quite warm in sunshine, but the air vents work a treat. The pockets are a decent size, and I can get a surprising amount of stuff in there (phone, wallet, etc.) When riding the shorts have enough stretch that I am not worried about any ripping at the seams, or restricted in my peddling, etc. The fabric of the liner pants is soft and very comfortable and doesn't move when riding. However, for me, there is a design flaw, which is the poppers to keep the liner secured inside the shorts are almost ineffective. Even when just sliding the shorts on, the poppers pop undone very easily. I was constantly having to faff to re-pop the poppers. Whilst the liner is elasticated and therefore keeps in place when riding (no hitching up the thigh for example), it becomes apparent that the poppers are just a bit of a gimmick. If I had known how ineffective the poppers are, I would have probably gone for a cheaper pair of shorts and purchased a liner separately. If the poppers worked, this would have been a 5-star review, but alas, 3-stars is probably the best I can give.

Short Fit is even better than prior year versions but the liner is too small
I've purchased multiple Hummvee mountain bike shorts over the years as they have been great downhill/bike park shorts.Compared to the ones I purchased 2 and 4 years ago these feel a tad lighter, are a little longer in the legs, and the pants opening at the bottom seems a little bigger (which is good for knee pads).Just like in prior years much of the material DOES NOT stretch with exception of the waist and the area directly below the waistband in the back (to help with movement). In all the locations and use of the non-stretch material has done a good job saving me from abrasions at bike parks.I am glad they still have one zippered pocket to store car keys/id in. The location of this pocket is now in the back vs on a leg but that is ok.What is a problem with these (and the hummvee short lite shorts for 2024) is the liner! The short size is right but the liner is uncomfortably tight. I used a proper clothes tape measure to check measurements before ordering this and I have not had this problem with prior year shorts. I would probably suggest buying the shorts without the liner and buying the next size liner up or buying another brand liner

Mountain bike shorts.
The shell was nice. But felt very thick. The insert was way way too small.
