This post box is such an attractive design that after we put our up, a dozen of our neighbors stopped by to ask about it. We live near a university campus and weren't sure whether an incident of mail theft was a serious issue or a college prank. Either way, we opted for this locking box and it's been perfect. The locking mechanism is sturdy and the box itself is so spacious in can accommodate magazines, Netflix, large business envelopes and just about anything else you may have delivered on a routine basis.

Its a good mailbox - but it doesnt come with anything - no instructions, no screws or installation materials

I haven't installed it yet, and my fiancee' says it is comically large, but its perfect for our needs. I receive small packages all the time and we have just moved into a house with a sad tired mailbox covered in rust that was held closed with a zip tie when we got here. It's time for an update, and this mailbox is slick. And because it locks, I don't have to worry about mail theft in a neighborhood I don't know!

This is a good inexpensive locking mailbox. I removed a star because it did not stop the thieves. They pried it open once so far. I bent the tab a bit differently to see if I can make it harder to get in.. So far so good... I CAN report that the mail theft has been reduced. I actually get most of my mail now!! My Dad always told me ..."Locks only keep honest people honest..."

This mailbox is a step up from an unlocked box. It is basically a regular traditional mailbox with a locking latched door. The steel is thin and bends easily. It turned out that it was very easy to pry open. We lost our mail three times- repairing the lock and bent out area twice. Finally gave up and bought one of these super secure square mailboxes. We had to sacrifice the traditional look for security and wish we had done it before.
