**Q: if i wanted to run a light to the other end of my kitchen what extension cable will i need for the light cable**
A: The cable's small plug is a standard type used in electronics so I suspect it will be possible to buy an extension cable (and I think one of the previous questions suggested one). But to be honest if you have some DIY skills it may be easier to cut off the fitted plug and use 12v cable to solder  (or 'chocolate block') to extend the existing cable. If you solder suggest use heat-shrink tube to insulate and add strength at the joint. For my installation I did that for all six lights as I was also connecting to switches and didn't need the fitted plugs.

**Q: What size mains connector do I need for these lights?**
A: 240 V to 12V transformer..not directly to the mains

**Q: Can anyone recommend a suitable transformer with correct size connector that works with these lights please? Thank you**
A: The lights are described as 2.5 Watts, therefore 2.5W/12V = 0.2 Amps. The power unit you need is thus quite low power. I had an old one of 12V and 1.25A that worked absolutely fine for either all 6 lights or just 1. I think I'd assumed that they were 2.5W each so total 15 W giving 1.25A so spot on (I know that's not the actual way to calculate multiple items in parallel but close enough).

I think that's also relevant for the plug. Not my area of knowledge but the higher the amps the bigger the plug diameter seems to be. My unit has a + core and - outer (seems to be typical) and measures 5mm outside diameter and is again spot on.

Search Amazon for 'power adaptor 12v 1.25a'. Appear to be several that are suitable, especially with different plug adaptors. Or, try 'AC Adaptors Are Us Ltd' (worth a look directly just to see what's available out there). They sell through Amazon and I recently purchased a 14V adaptor from them via Amazon - excellent service/delivery.

A: I would imagine that you don't have to use all of the lights.  With fewer installed, they will just draw less current from the driver. 
I connected one of the lights to an old driver I had in place, to replace one of three lights, and it works fine. Nice and bright, and easy install.
