Espresso novice
This is my first espresso machine. While using it is fairly straightforward, there is a bit of a learning curve for properly using the steam feature. I’m a novice, so that may only apply to me and possibly other novices. I wish the steam would’ve been available at the half mark on the dial to avoid the possibility of releasing too much water, but if you do a half turn quickly, that’s not an issue. I figured it out after the 3rd attempt. That said, I still know a good espresso and the final result from this machine is tasty and perfect for me. The gauge tells me when my pull is suitable and that feature is working well. The size of the machine is great, as it doesn’t require much counter space and has enough clearance between it and my cabinet, leaving space to place a mug on the warming plate.I spent hours researching and reading reviews for several machines and am glad I chose this one. It’s a great value for the price paid. The drinks I’ve made since receiving it have been better than any I’ve purchased, so it’s already paying off and saving money.Tip: Purchase a puck screen, as it seems they help minimize espresso buildup on the machine.

Nice little machine
Purchased this as a gift for the wife. We weren't sure about whether we needed an espresso machine, thus didn't want to spend a bundle. Since it's first brew, we've been very pleased. And it's saved us hundreds (yes hundreds) of dollars that once were paid to local coffee shops, Starbucks and Dunkin. Everyone can brew they're favorites here at home and spice them up as much as they like. Very satisfied.

Some new concepts here. Makes espresso, hot water (for tea), steamers & more. Also a few glitches
In a traditional countertop espresso machine, you pour the water in top (one serving at at time), it heats up in the tank, then comes out when the entire tank is hot and pressurized. This doesn't work that way, which has some pros and cons. This has a tank in back, non-pressurized, which is enough for about 20 doubles and can be refilled as you go. Instead of heating a pressurizing a tank, it's more like a radiator, with a pump pushing the water through a pressurized coil. The pros are, this is a lot faster, and you can make several drinks in a row, rapid fire. Each drink takes about a minute - basically it's ready to go as soon as you change out the grounds. This is pretty amazing for something that has the same footprint as a traditional countertop espresso machine. And, you get an unlimited amount of steam without taking water from your next cup. If you want to make 20 vanilla steamers in a row (cream, no espresso), you can do that in just a couple minutes. And, this can make just hot water if you just want tea or hot chocolate from powder. The cons are, there are more things that can go wrong in this process. The pump will likely be the first thing to fail on this, so I doubt it will last as long as a traditional espresso machine. Also, the steam isn't as consistent - you get some sputtering, and you get a higher water content in your steam.Since there's no tank, the pressure gauge doesn't tell you when the water is ready. Instead, it only tells you the pressure as it's making the espresso. The steamy water moving through the espresso is the single most important part of process - if it's too hot it burns the grounds, if the pressure is too low it means low body, etc.The ideal pressure is 9 bars. This thing isn't even labeled - I assume each mark is one bar? They label the "suitable zone" at between 3 and 19, which seems like a huge range. Mine machine is working at about 5. If those are bars, then it's low and not ideal. It does make a pretty good cup of espresso, but I don't know what to make of this. And judging by the other reviews, nobody else is really watching this gauge anyway. People think it's neat but they don't know how to read it. Is it mainly decorative? And what do you do if it's not functioning properly? It's not like there are any settings to adjust this, there is no remedy unless you're under warranty.Overall it's ok. I like it most for it's small footprint, versatility (it makes a fast cup of tea), and the tank concept. I also like the finish, a mix of stainless steel and plastic. It does, however, pick up a lot of fingerprints.

Slow heating
For all the claims of a fast aluminum heating unit, this device underperforms. For the first shot of the day, please expect 10 minutes for it to heat up, and still another 5 for consecutive shots.

Works great!
First ever espresso machine.. it's simple to use. If you've ever seen someone make your espresso you should know what to do. Great body on the single and double shots that comes out, use bottle water and do a few test runs with coffee. It does its job for its price compared to some really expensive ones. Steam does take some time to warm up but not that bad. I like it. 👍

Used it for 1 week BUT the machine isn’t consistent
I just got this machine 5 days ago. I was excited to use it and everything but I actually regret now. This machine is small and nice. It is great for small kitchens or limited places, but after 5 days, the espresso machine doesn’t give 2 shots. It is like 1 shot when I use the double shot button. Preheat time is too long and you cannot have 2 coffees in a row quickly. You have to wait around 10 mins to make coffee for your guest. Also I was unable to remove the bigger filter when I wanted to replace it with the smaller volume one. It arrived stuck inside so I have been stuck with using the bigger filter
