If you are a DIY'er that likes working on your own vehicles, this is a must have tool. Removing hose clamps are a breeze with this tool. The quality of the tool seems to be top notch and that's nice for the price these are sold for here on Amazon. Not much else to be said, it's a simple tool that's nice to have in the toolbox.

When you need to remove a spring type hose clamp these pliers are the bees knees. They easily grip the ears of the clamp and the ratchet mechanism keeps them closed while you slide the clamp off. Makes for super easy removal of tough clamps. They are designed to open wide so they should fit a large range of sizes. They seem well built and should function as designed for years to come. A perfect addition to your tool chest.

The standard pair of pliers works great. The remote pair is maybe under built but serviceable.

I have been our family shade tree mechanic for about 20 years and have done many repairs that have required me to have so many tools that my garage looks like a auto repair shop. But I have avoided purchasing these pliers because I could get away with using whatever tool in the garage that could clamp down. Well I had to remove a heater hose in a terrible location so I splurged and spent several dollars to buy these pliers. They were way easier than using my assortment of pliers. Being able to grip the clip with one hand and making adjustments with the same hand followed by the ratchet ability for it to hold the position allowed me to reposition myself to get a better grip and continue to release and reposition the clamp. I couldn't do this job without these pliers. They are cheap and easy to use. I should have purchased them 20 years ago.

Pros: Price, ratcheting teeth lock, grip, swivel head.Cons: Snap ring design, handles too long, teeth locking not strongSo it earns 3 stars because it completed the job of me removing and putting on new Toyota hose clamps during my radiator replacement project. It loses 1.5 star for only *literally* completing it, the snap ring for the countersunk cap just must have given up and was gone, but luckily I had just gotten the last clip in place so HEY that worked but now the tool can't be used again.For improvements to get the full 5, the handles are a bit too long which makes tight spaces difficult (such as under the car) and the ratetching locking mechanism tends to slip and thus is only partially helpful.Would buy again but 2 of them in case the snapring fails yet again.

These are very handy to have. I usually would’ve just grabbed a regular pair of pliers but I figured I’d give these a shot and they’re great. It’s so much easier than having to hold pressure on the pliers and move the clamp off. With these you squeeze them and they lock causing the clamp to be loose and makes life so much easier. Highly recommend!
