Gritty,Spicy, thought provoking!
M.J. Arlidge has been one of my favorite authors since my cousin recommended him to me some years ago. I’ve read all the books in his Helen Grace series since then. That British detective series is gritty, spicy, violent and all of them are full of surprises. Eye for an Eye is a stand alone and was particularly interesting to me because it addresses the question, what happens when criminals who are sentenced to life imprisonment are secretly released back into society secretly with new identities. This question was addressed in my own community recently with the sentencing of a young murderer of four much loved high school students. The book is a great read. It kept me on my toes and still has me thinking.( Please remember, gritty, spicy, violent before you pick it up).⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Creepy but oh so good
Eye for an Eye is not for the faint hearted and you will keep reading gasping at some of the twists and turns. The premise that someone is leaking information about criminals that have been released and their identities protected.Families want revenge.Revenge is understandable but is it the answer.Do you become as a bad as the one that ruined families and took your loved one.The hunt is on to find out the source of the leak .Can they do so before these vigilantes do indeed get what they consider justice. The action is non stop.I held my breath to the very last page. This book I wont forget anytime soon.

a good read
This is my first book by this author and will definitely not be my last. I struggled to put it down to do necessary things. I liked the concept and the views of all the characters on both sides. A couple of times the text actually made me gasp as I didn’t see several things coming. A very good read.

Not my cup of tea
The book needs a better editor - haven't counted the times it says 'it beggars belief' but appears definitely too often like a couple of others. Also some spelling errors and missing words. As for the contents: The main characters are all damaged, and only the good mothers are fit to survive. A bit too simple. Didn't like it, but who knows - you might.
