I absolutely LOVE PetLibro! I own the 5L for my cat & it’s been a life saver! It works perfect & has no problems. The app is also easy to use & it was easy to set up! I was so excited about my new 8L Space Feeder for my Dobie because I already owned a 5L one for my cat & LOVE it! Since that one worked in the PetLibro app, I was excited that my dogs would do. After an hour of trying & an email to the support, the feeders are ran on two different apps…. My 5L that I bought this April is on the PetLibro LTE app & the 8L one on the PetLibro app. Which was upsetting, but it’s okay! The Air Pump Failure seems to be a common problem. I tried literally everything to make it work. I read everything & watched everything, still keeps saying “Air Pump Failure” all day on my brand new device. I emailed them, they got back to me saying to order a replacement. So I did. UPDATE: My replacement unit came in super fast & it works absolutely perfect! The air pump feature is super cool now that I have one that works! I love PetLibro, I recommend it to all the pet owners I see at my job!!

So I have purchased two of these for both of my dogs and they work great. I got them both in black and function well with no problems. My reasons for docking the stars are for 2 reasons: 1. I don't really care if my dogs food is air pumped, however I was obligated to get this model because its the only one they have that provides a large enough storage and bowl fit for a large breed dogs [I have dobermans]. I tried their smaller models in hopes I could figure out a way to replace the bowl size and still make it work, but that didn't work; because unless the bowl has the little insert that fits with the base, the bowl will freely move around everywhere and the food makes a mess everywhere. So with that being said I was disappointed I had to pay a significant amount more just to get the larger bowl. 2. The app works great, offers awesome features like scheduling your dogs meals, manually feeding when needed, and it also tells you if it was successfully dispensed or not. No complaints about how the app works. My only issue is that they make you purchase a subscription when you have more than one dog. I thought about just creating a new account for each dog but I really like having them both viewable next to each other in the app so I opted to pay the 12$ monthly unfortunately. The design is very classy and well made, the noise is minimal, and I have only ever kept it plugged in so I am unsure on battery life.

This dispenser stopped dispensing food without any warning. The app showed feedings as “completed,” but no food actually came out. I only noticed days later because I work long hours. My dog was left without food for several days. That alone makes this product unacceptable. On top of that, the air pump fails constantly and barely works. For something meant to take care of pets, this is dangerous. Do not trust this product.

I've owned two now and both died within 9 months. It constantly jams and the vacuum function errors out repeatedly despite thorough cleaning.

This is a wifi enabled pet feeder. It works remotely to store and dispense on a schedule kibble to your cat or dog and it does exactly that. It allows you to set a schedule, an amount and sends messages when it performs feedings and then re-establishes it's vacuum seal. This feeder works best with iOS devices, with android it kept losing it's connection which was annoying. Not so with iOS. It does have a minimum amount which can be dispensed which may be too large for cats. It also is very touchy regarding getting kibble on the rim of the device where the lid sits. When this happens it cannot establish a seal and it will not dispense food. So make sure when loading to wipe the rim of the device and the lid with a dry cloth to ensure that it can seal and it will work fine. I gave it four stars because of the non-customizable food serving size. But this is a great product and it does exactly what it is designed to do with minimal fuss. Highly recommended

The feeder holds a ton of food! Additionally the vacuum sealing is nice. To keep her food fresh. Because of that mechanism, it's not possible for her to stick her paws up the shoot and pull out more food like her previous feeders. The app works really well and it's nice having notifications showing that it's dispensed food. Additionally the app makes configuration of the schedule really easy. The vacuum pump is audible, but it's not really that loud.

This thing is not perfect, but it's darn close. I have a 150lb Cane Corso and the amount of food this holds will last a week, which is perfect for me. Issues I ran into but were fixed with a little maintenance. #1 Error from not being able to get a vacuum. - Solved this by wiping clean the lid's rubber gasket and edge it comes into contact with. I do this each time I open and refill it with food. Just after refilling, sometimes I need to push down on the lid while its vacuuming to get a good seal. #2 Error that the food outlet is blocked. - There are two sensors in the food outlet that can get clogged up with dog food dust. I just take an old toothbrush and wipe it clean. #3 Every once and a while, I disassemble the whole upper food container and clean out all the food dust. Not talking about unscrewing anything. Just the parts that are obviously meant to easily come apart.

Right away the positive is how easy it is the break down to clean.... Pretty much very part can be broken down to be clean. Other companies could definitely learn a thing or two in that regards. The app is also easy to setup and use A few deal breakers though. 1) While easy to use, their app have a pointless subscription service it kept pushing. 2) No physical button on the device that I could just push if my dog wanted just a bit of extra food. 3) No scale in the tray to prevent over feeding if my dog skipped a meal time. 4) My main reason for buying was for the vacuum seal which I found to be very iffy. Had to constantly open and close the lid before I could get it to work. 5) The app stayed pushing notifications for there bing good in the tray prevent the door to the device from closing. I wanted to love it, but in the end just couldn't.
