Under the Oak Tarot is so underrated. I think it’s an absolutely magical deck. The story of the little girl is so beautiful, and the way each card is illustrated—it’s colorful yet set in the night—you really get the feeling of being in a magical forest. I never got that from the Darkwood Tarot, but this one? It’s like watching an animated movie unfold, scene by scene. The art truly comes alive through its use of color, and the deck carries this enchanting, forest energy. Every time I work with it, it feels deeper than before—it really speaks in layers. The cardstock is a matte linen finish, I think—I’m still learning to identify finishes—but it’s absolutely beautiful to the touch and shuffles like a dream.
