I've never written a love song to a trashcan, but I am doing so now.It's a trashcan, but it looks good, it works great, the size is perfect,* and it's priced right.Here are the deets: I've had it for a few months now and it's like it's always been here, not because it looks like it's old, but because it's very neutral in its design and fits right in. I love the open top design. That means the top will stay open if I set it up that way, and it will close after use if I set it up that way. And remember, it's a trashcan, so setting it up is pretty easy.*Here's what I meant about the size getting a star. When the top is set to stay open, the top is vertical, leaving the opening fully accessible. But, it turns from a medium height can to a tallish one, and it still fits under the overhang in the kitchen island. When I need it close, I simply drag it over, and when I'm done, I move it back to its resting place under the island overhang.And the price is right.And, it's easy to find liner bags for it cause it's a standard size.It's just about perfect. No faults, from my perspective.

We’ve had this trashcan for about 3 months now. It still looks great, no dents or chips. The cream color goes well with our cabinets versus the typical stark white. We had the auto-open trashcan for years and it drove us crazy having it open every time we walked by or having to change the batteries so frequently. I’m happy to have the normal peddle opener back again. Easy to change the bag and it never falls! I hate trash cans are so expensive but this one was worth the $$.

This garbage can helps control odors SO MUCH. I'm using it specifically for my rabbit area, and I throw all their used litter into here. Rabbit litter smells like a literal zoo, if you didn't know, and a few minutes after closing the lid on this thing (and the lingered scent dissipates from the air) you can no longer smell it. The size of the can works well with standard 13 gallon kitchen garbage bags. I've attached a video showing how easy it is to put in a new bag (and it's even easier removing it, of course). It does come with some bags, but the drawstrings have a tendency to rip right off just FYI.The lid will stay open if you pull it back far enough, which is really nice for when I'm cleaning out the litter and don't have to keep reopening it. The soft close works perfectly and the lid never makes noise when closing. The pedal works great and it's also easy to open the lid by hand when necessary. The only thing I don't love is that there's a recessed space where the soft close mechanism is (photo attached, it's circled in blue) and this has a tendency to hold small pieces of refuse that can be hard to remove. But that's really the only "problem" I have with this, and it's a pretty small issue, so I'm still really happy with it and would recommend it!

In spite of a warning message on the product's webpage about this being a frequently returned item, I decided to take the plunge and order it due to the many positive reviews. It's also fairly unique in it's size and color options, so it fits nicely in our bathroom.The trash can came in a nice beige color and looks very sleek. It's fairly easy to insert a trash bag (15 come with it) and it uses a standard size that is easy to obtain at local stores. It is difficult to completely keep the bag from peeking out of the can near the top (which is why I didn't give it five stars), but you can mostly conceal it. The edges of the bag at the top can make it look less elegant, so it's important to hide it and it can be done with enough care. Perhaps I'll get better at doing that over time.The lid opens quickly and closes slowly, as you want it to do. It keeps the smells inside the can until you remove the bag, which you want to do quickly due to odors from what was disposed of in the can.So, I'm very happy with my purchase and I don't really understand why it would be an often returned item. Perhaps because it gets damaged in shipping, which didn't happen in my case.

Good product for a reasonable price. I am pleasantly surprised. I am happy!

Some of the reviews stated that the can broke after a few weeks or a month, so I wanted to wait a while before I left a review. It's been a little over a month and I still love it.The shape takes up less room and still holds the same amount as a round can and 13 gal bags fit perfectly.I ordered it in white and it's a nice matte finish so it doesn't stand out. Not important to some people but it matters to me. Clean lines.The fact that it doesn't have an inner, metal liner is not an issue for us and we've had no problems.If it should start to fall apart, I'll amend this review, but for now I recommend.

3 Stars — Looks good from far, but not as advertisedThis trash can is… fine. It does the job, but I’m disappointed because it’s not what was pictured.The biggest issue: the pedal is not matte black. It’s a brushed, silvery metal that immediately stands out and breaks the clean, all-black look shown in the listing. If you’re buying this for a cohesive, minimal aesthetic, this matters more than you’d think.Also, the SONGMICS logo is much more visible and prominent than expected. In the photos it either isn’t shown or looks subtle, but in person it’s noticeable and honestly kind of cheapens the overall look.Functionally, it works. The size is good, the lid closes fine, and it seems decent for the price. But visually, it’s just not as clean or intentional as advertised.If you don’t care about those details, it’s a perfectly usable trash can. But if you’re particular about finishes and design, just know it’s not quite what you see in the photos.

Llego a mi en un tiempo breve y razonable. Muy bien empacado. Me lo imaginaba un poco más grande y un tono mas blanco, pero sin queja alguna. Satisfecho con la compra.
