This dog was a gift for our granddaughter. She loved it! She wanted a real puppy, she’s not quite ready for that yet so this was the next best thing for her..

The media could not be loaded.  The FUUY Robot Dog Toy for Kids is the perfect pet toy for little kids.My 4 year old loves this dog. She carries it throughout the day and interacts like it's a real dog. As she talks to it, the dog responds with noises and reacts to her physical cues too. When she pets it, the dog makes heart eyes and wags its tail. It sits, rolls over and barks amongst other things. There are tons of features to this toy! We probably haven't engaged with half of them because she won't let us take it from her to toy with the set-up. She's that enamored with this robo-dog. Her sister was so jealous we had to get her a comparable robot.The battery lasts for weeks, literally. Between Christmas and February, I think we charged this once for a short time. It has an automatic turn-off sensor that conserves battery efficiently. Once a few minutes have gone by the dog goes into sleep mode. The body and electronics have to be well-made because these kids have dropped this dozens of times and it works like new.5/5

It’s okay, my son gets a kick out of it but we dislike that the dog doesn’t stay going into the direction you want it to go and then lags when you try to get it to turn the direction you actually want it to go.

Charge and go! Would workwellon flat surface. Heavy appetite and obstacles a problem.

The robot dog came with the dog, remote, USB charge cable, and instructions.The robot dog is recharged via a port on the back of the head, using the included USB charge cable. You will need to provide 3 AAA batteries for the remote.After charging the dog and installing remote batteries, you are ready to go.One of the nice features - the robot dog will react to a pat on the head - even when you are not using the remote. A slight pat will cycle the dog though several actions - including a bark sound, laying down, sitting, etc.Using the remote, you have a lot more options. You can "drive" the dog around, as well as push buttons for actions (like sit, lay down, play music, etc.). My favorite button is the "demo mode". When you push this button, the dog will do a full dance to a song.The dog also has heart eyes and eyebrows that light up when powered on and in use. If it remains powered on but not in use, the eyes turn to led sleeping eyes. The ears are also "floppy", so they move around - adding to the experience.The robot dog seems pretty durable. If you were to step on it or drop it hard, I could see it breaking, but as long as it is taken care of, I can see it lasting for a long time.I wouldn't recommend this item for an older child, but for a kid that still likes to pretend and have a pretend pet, this is a fun experience.While I think the robot dog is worthy of 5 stars, I do want to mention that the remote is "line of sight", so not bluetooth or wireless. Like an old TV remote, you must point it at the general direction of the dog. Not a huge deal, but would be nice to have bluetooth or RF. The dog also uses the old style USB plug to charge. Would be nice to see the charge port as USB C.Overall fun toy, recommend!
