The Architecture Student's Handbook of Professional Practice 14th Edition

I have two copies of this book, one for home and one for the office because it is so useful.

This is required reading for many professional practice courses and is very useful beyond school. The content is a compilation of articles from experts and very well written with essential information readily available in each chapter. I would highly recommend getting the book at the beginning of any architectural studies as it is the best measure of the actual business of architectural design.

I bought this book to study for the ARE, it has literally been the most helpful and insightful book I have gotten (I studied from Ballast and Kaplan and this is by far the best) For anyone studying for the ARE this is MUST HAVE!

So far I don't have any glaring issues with this book. It sets out all of the information in a clear, concise manner, and the included disc has many of the documents referenced. Solid, standard reference book.

Think everyone should read this book for their PPP , CDS, and SPD exams... particularly for the PPP exam. I regret for not having read this book sooner... now I have a copy and never to let it go.

Great cost compared to the full thing. I am currently studying for the ARE exams and this book is very helpful, especially the sample AIA documents that come with the CD. I highly recommend this book. Very valuable resource.

A beginning Architect should invest in this material. It allows one to see the business side of the architecture realm instead of only focusing on design.
