Nice sound, great knife
Bought this the kizer militaw, militaw mini and the kizer Mini momo. I returned the Militaw, didnt like how it felt cheap in my hand. Mini militaw seems much nicer, but i will say.... this knife is nicer than all of them. Has a nice sound opening, nice action and button. This one is a winner! highly recommend

Button stick and the fix. UPDATE!!! My first review was 3 stars now 5
When I received mine( I put in for a return/exchange so hopefully it's different on the next one) the button was frozen. I couldn't open the knife without pushing the button down which took a lot of effort. Once open it wouldn't lock. I have several button locks from CJRB and I've never had an experience like this. A benefit of ordering through Amazon is the exchange process is streamlined. Honestly I'm just disappointed as CJRB has never had this sort of QC issues. I was honestly hoping to buy a high end version of the Ekko after trying out this version. I've had really good experiences with them in the past and I'm hoping to have really good experiences going forward.UPDATE: Two VERY important things1: The FixThe button malfunction on my knife, which was the exact same on both copies I had, was that the blade was VERY difficult to open and once opened would not lock. The fix for this was to loosen the body screws slightly. Once I did that the button was no longer bound up and operated as it's supposed to. Re tighten the body screws while testing the action and keep you fingers away from the blade while doing so.2: The Customer ServiceAfter leaving my initial review I was contacted via the messenger portion of this app(the Amazon shopping app if anyone reads this away from here) and the team and individual were very helpful, polite, and professional. I was offered a return/replacement but as I had fixed the issue I chose to keep the copy I had. There were several messages back and forth and I was reminded why I continue to buy from CJRB/Artisan. Their professionalism is unmatched and they continue to strive to help/fix any issue their customers have.CONCLUSION:Knives are a passion of mine. I understand defects or other issues can arise from time to time and, when they do, most times (with most companies) we're left to ourselves or the knife community to resolve them. CJRB stands out as a company that wants to help you themselves and wants to make sure you are happy with your purchase from them. I DO NOT WORK FOR CJRB OR ARTISAN!!! I sharpen knives and have a passion for this industry but I am not connected to any brand professionally nor do I get preferential treatment for leaving positive reviews. This should be evident as I've left my first review at the top of this. My goal is to help like minded people and let others know of my experiences. I hope my review and experience is helpful. Have a great day!

Attractively designed EDC but heavy
This is a very attractive pocket knife for every day carry. The blade is CJRB's proprietary steel RPM9, which may or may not (probably isn't) powder metallurgy, but still is a fine steel and perfectly serviceable for an EDC. Personally I like the design; it has a cleaver-influenced blade shape I love. It opens and closes as you would expect, including one-handed and the button-lock is a nice improvement over the usual liner-lock in this class of knife. It's somewhat larger than it probably needs to be for EDC, though that depends on you, your use-case and your carrying tolerance as much as anything. The stainless scales look great and give it a "classy" "gentleman's" demeanor, but make the overall knife a bit heavy. Overall though I've carried this quite a bit and found it comfortable enough and very functional when I need to cut something.

My best fidget tool toy
The one I got has one of the best action opening and closing in my collection of over 100+ knives. Incredibly fidgety and addicting to hold with super smooth surface and edges. Simple, shiny, and remarkably inexpensive plus it’s a Laconico design. Really glad I got lucky and got it.

I was sent a defective knife
I own 3 knives from CJRB - the small pyrite, the Riff, and the Chord models. I loved the push button locking mechanism on those knives and was excited to purchase another CJRB product that had a different blade shape and has universal 5 stars ratings. When I got mine, I noticed it did not arrived in the usual packaging as the others. I suspected it was a used knife (I paid for new) and went to open it to see if the blade showed any wear and tear and immediately almost sliced my fingers thanks to the ball bearings and the defective push button/plunge locking mechanism that was stuck and did not engage. I know every product in the world has its anomalies and occasionally a defective product slips through. I get that. What made me decide to return this unsafe knife and not replace it with another was that someone knowingly sent a defective, unsafe product. Maybe the shipper hadn’t bother opening the box and inspected the product because they assumed they had a new, working product in stock, and maybe they didn’t know. However, at one point someone knew they put a defective product in the box and tried to pass it off as new. Just putting it in a ziplock bag should have sent a red flag since the knife refused to stay close. For everyone else that have five star ratings and proclaim this is the best knife ever, well I’ll just take your word for it because this experience has left a bad taste and a negative opinion of the product. Good luck. I hope the broken one I returned with a description of the problem isn’t just put back into sales circulation.
