Folding Collapsible Chair - Portable, Lightweight, Black Nylon Fishing Stool

I was looking for a lightweight portable travel chair for use on long walks where no seating is available. It needed to fold short enough to fit in a backpack or carry-on. It had to carry significant weight (me) but be as light as possible. Height adjustment was a big plus. Everything else I looked at was either too long to pack (spectator sticks and walking stick seats), or too bulky and a bit heavy (collapsing plastic stools), or too short (3-legged camp stools).The standing rod is more substantial than I expected. The push-button stops more secure. Once assembled, this seat is comfortable and should be great for the short respite I'm looking for. The seat includes a handy carry bag. There are two loops at the back corners of the seat to aid in assembly (see below). The seat even comes with a cute zipper compartment to hold ... your keys?The BIGGEST hurdle with the chair is getting the seat assembled the first time. It came in a plain box with no instructions - so I'll tell you what worked for me.: Each of the three Metal support rods fits into the head with stretch cord to hold them in. The seat seems much too small to stretch over the ends of the rods the first time (a good thing). What worked for me: Insert the rear rods into the back of seat cushion, then slide the rods into the chair head. You may need to work them a little. Next place the last rod into the long end of the seat and then work the other end into head - this takes some effort as the rod may bind. Once you sit on the seat for a while, it will stretch and future assembly is much easier. The next time - place the rods into the head assembly, place the long end pocket on to it's rod and use the pull tabs to get the rear corners of the seat set on their respective rods. Voila.

I’m 6’3”, I bought this because it was the tallest seat I could find. I found it difficult to fit the folded seat onto the three legs. Since it’s a monopod, I expected sitting on it to be unstable, and it is.

I wanted something I can carry easily while hiking and that wouldn’t take too much space in my pack. This is surprisingly comfortable. I’m really happy to have found it. Other ultralight stools are too low to the ground and kill my knees. I feel supported on it and not constrained at all. It’s a really good find. It is tricky to stretch the seat cloth on the pegs the first time, but with the little finger loops it was easy for this old gal. Don’t let that be a deterrent to getting this great product.

i am 6’6” and 250lbs.. and 67yrs old.. on vacation trips lines can be long and i could have used a place to sit down.. this seat pod fits in my carry back pach.. yes it dosent come with instructions but you dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure out.. very pleased with product..!!! 5 Star..!!!

I returned this item. It needs to be assembled to use. This was just more than I bargained for. I need something that is together, folded, and then unfolded to use, not assembled each time. The pieces that hold the seat are plastic, so I didn't like that. It was awkward to sit on, we tried every way possible and it just didn't work for us.

Makes life easier while trying to relax and stand at the same time

received someone else's reject, came broken at base, box was damaged although inside of shipping box. great idea, poor manufacturing materials, base needs to hold up to some weight without breaking.
