A well-protective case is all about preserving the convenience of being able to use your phone in times that you need it the most.I was once in a situation where I needed to call emergency services to help save a life of an elderly individual, and while I was panicking to get my uncased iPhone out of my pocket, I fumbled and the phone landed face-down completely shattering the screen. I was unable to make that call and I forever regret it. I had then sworn that my future phones would serve me for functionality as a phone and not for the sake of vanity. I swore that I would only use protective cases.The Defender series has improved a lot of the years. It's not too bulky for the Pixel 8. In fact, it feels very comfortable to hold and still fits in my jean pocket without limiting my movement. It adds just the right amount of bulk to ensure that the phone is very well protected after a critical drop, and it looks great as well. This will protect my Pixel 8 for at least until the charging flap breaks off, then I will replace it with another Defender because it's that good!Update: After a month this defender crackles a lot and becomes less snug. This is due to the plastic interior shell. I wish they made this case like the Commuter with the soft tpu material on the inside layer and hard plastic shell on the outside, like a helmet.

I got this since my Pixel 4 smart phone was badly damage over the years and when I replaced it with a Pixel 8 this case was recommended to me by a family member. I carry my smart phone in a belt pouch and with my phone in this case it slips into my case easily and is easily removed better that my Pixel 4 which was smaller.

Because of the Pixel 8 Pro's design, the clip for this case is no longer reversible as it was with earlier Pixel versions.The clip is also less substantial feeling, more "shallow," and it feels less secure.The case itself is great, same quality you'd expect.

Very very very good This my second one , First one is for pixel 3. Price point little expensive but worth it. little cheaper is batter. No other brand bit this period. I use this OtterBox defender case with my new google pixel 8.note: Add some different color pls.

This case feels very sturdy and makes the phone feel extremely well protected. The grip on the entire outside of the case is excellent as well. The phone won't slide around when placed on smooth surfaces and has great grip when held in your hand. It does increase the bulk of the phone a little bit but not bad.

I love the ruggedness of this but the only screen protector I've been able to use is made by OtterBox. I want to be able to use any brand but can't.

While pricier, and bulkier, than many alternative choices, this case gives great protection...including a charging port cover to keep debris from clogging it.

I dropped my new phone a couple of times already. So glad I bought this case. The phone is safe and sound.

other than no clear screen cover it's a good product.

Great Otterbox case. The plastic clip feels flimsy but i didn't buy it for that. The case is durable and feels great as well

A bit bulky but if you're not bothered by the loss of style then this is for you. Durability is the best in my opinion. I'm not usually one to wear my phone on the outside but the belt clip has proven useful a few times.
