took these on a long trip out of the way of replacement parts and they went the distance. 100% survived the trip - none lost (it’s a good lanyard), none bent (the plug end is well anchored) and none shorted (usb type c stuff is tricky to engineer well, i’ve decided). would buy again but i don’t need more 🙌🫶👍

Great little adapters for the car
The rubber cord keepers are great. They do the job.

It soft of works but the MFI certification is suspect.
This works in some situations and not in others. If I connect this to a USB A to USB C cable and plug in my Lightning iPhone, it works. If I plug this to a USB C to USB C cable and plug into my Lightning iPhone, it doesn't charge. This totally perplexed me until AI explained it. Apparently, USB C charging requires a "protocol/handshake" to be negotiated before charging can take place whereas USB C just sends power regardless. The adapter doesn't handle the power negotiations so the USB charger says "I don't know what you want so I'm not sending power". The USB C charger just sends power without asking and therefore charging of the phone works. The MFi (Made for iPhone) certification is a loose standard that only really says that you can physically plug this into your iPhone and it won't break it (too much power, wrong pins, etc.). It doesn't really guarantee it will work in all situations. I don't know if this is the whole story or if I'm missing something but the end result is that I can't charge my phone with this using a USB C charger, a USB C to USB C cable, and this adapter. I have to use a USB A charger, A USB A to USB C cable, and this adapter. I know I can just get a USB C to Lightning cable but I had reasons for wanting to use USB C to USB C.

Compatible con carplay!
Este adaptador es muy útil para no llevar demasiados cables. En mi caso, quería tener un solo cable para conectar tanto mi iphone con entrada lightning así como mi celular Android con entrada usb-c. No encontré alguna opinión o video que mostrara que este adaptador funcionara para carplay, así que me arriesgué y... funciono! La conexión es totalmente estable. Definitivamente recomendable este producto, es de buena calidad y se agradece que tengan un cordón plástico para colocarlo en el cable.
