Nice big, clear displayI wanted it for the spare room where my grandkids sleep over. Not being mains powered is safer with young children and we can put it where we want without trailing wires.Very happy.

This is an interesting clock to review, as it sits somewhere between an old fashioned mechanical alarm clock and the latest computer controlled digital offerings such as the amazon echo range.The things I liked about this clock:-1) The large display digits are easily seen across a medium sized room.2) The alarm is very loud (similar to a smoke alarm) so there is no chance of sleeping through it.3) The buttons to operate the alarm clock are large and easily accessible on the top of the clock.4) It is very light for easy transportation (the batteries weigh more than the clock).5) The packaging is a simple brown box which saves costs. The clock itself is packed in bubble wrap to avoid damage in transit.Areas where I felt it could be improved:-1) There are no batteries included. This is unusual these days where most battery powered devices are supplied with a set of batteries.2) It needs four AA alkaline batteries. Many clocks run for a year or more on a single AA battery. I am guessing that this is due to the power drain of the LED display required to make it visible at night.3) The clock has three brightness levels which are manually set, plus fixed dimming between 8:00pm and 6:00am to the lowest brightness level of the three. There is no automatic brightness adjustment which is available on many similar devices, and would make it much more flexible.4) The Alarm has two volume modes. One is very loud, and the other starts at very loud and builds up over time to deafening. Whilst this is excellent for someone with a hearing impairment, it is way too loud for a light sleeper such as myself. It would be better if the ramped volume setting started off much quieter.5) Given that this is battery powered and designed to be portable, it would be handy if it had an on/off switch for the display to save battery power whilst maintaining the time and alarm settings. As it is, the only way to turn it off is to remove the batteries altogether.For anyone with hearing or sight impairment, i feel this would be a very suitable clock. For anyone else, I think there are probably alternatives with more functionality for the price.

I spent an age trying to get the alarm working when it arrived. For me, it never seemed to go off no matter what I tried. I showed the clock to my wife who could hear the alarm quite clearly although she suffers from hearing loss. My hearing is good but I could only hear the alarm if I held the clock to my ear.It must be something to do with the noise frequency the alarm emits. Some can hear it easily where others can't hear it at all.

I didn't get this for my kids or my elderly parents..It's for me as I just adore retro style and gadgets :).. reminds me of the one I used to have for school to wake up to back in the 80's and 90's :).I love it and it's now a design feature in our bedroom for memories Yay :)

Je cherchais un réveil basique pour avoir l'heure d'un simple coup d'oeil notamment la nuit quand les enfants se réveillent.Celui-ci répond parfaitement à ce critère, il est de taille relativement petite mais l'heure prend tout l'espace du cadran si bien que pour ceux qui ont une mauvaise vue il offre un confort de lecture. L'écriture est en rouge sur fond noir.Les boutons sur le dessus sont simples à utiliser.Livré sans piles.

La sveglia è perfetta, bel design retrò anni 70, e semplicissima nel funzionamento e nelle impostazioni. Il display con Led rossi con i grandi numeri non disturba durante la notte e si vede bene l'ora in ogni condizione di luce. Bene anche i 3 livelli di luminosità. Ottimo acquisto.
