Works so well!
Bought for a project but use it for all kinds of scraps yarn bundles. I have arthritis in my hands and hand turning the spool was not for me. This has multiple speeds and works so well! Worth the extra $$ to get an electric one.

Works great!
I love this yarn winder!! I've had it for several months now and have used it a lot! It helps so much and has never failed me. It's exactly what you see in the pictures and works great! Would 100% but this again!

Amazing upgrade!
I've used a goodwill, semi broken spinner for years and I saw one tiktok of this E-spinner and I had to get it (it never occurred to me that one existed... Of course I spun all my new yarn right before buying this). She is amazing. You can do a full, normal skein of acrylic on this with plenty of space left. I haven't tried it on any of my wool blends, all I have right now are minis and chances are those won't cake up very well (they don't normally either). My only grip with this is the tension. The piece for tension is so loose, so the cakes end up being so big, fluffy, and they kind of unravel in weird spots. My suggesting is just getting a rubber band to increase pressure on the feeding yarn. You don't want too much or the machine thinks it's a jam. I found the perfect balance where my cakes come out tight and I don't really have to babysit the feeding yarn. I love that when a knot shows up, the machine recognizes there's too much tension and stops entirely so the motor doesn't burn. Most important, it's very pretty and purple and it's fun to look at :)

Great for Light Use—Not Built for Heavy Duty
This yarn winder works great for average-sized skeins and is a huge time saver. It’s stable and easy to use, and I had no issues at all—at first. Unfortunately, it doesn’t hold up well with frequent or high-volume use. After about three months of heavy usage, the motor started to wear out and struggled to wind a full skein. Despite its short lifespan, I keep coming back to it because it still outperforms any hand winder I’ve tried. Just know that it’s best suited for occasional use. I also tried the larger capacity version hoping it would handle bigger skeins better, but it was a disappointment—extremely loud, constantly got stuck, and didn’t work at all for my needs. I ended up returning it. If you’re a casual user, this winder is a great tool. Just be aware of its limitations if you’re winding yarn frequently or in large quantities.

Wish I purchased sooner
I’ve been using this electric yarn winder for several projects now, and it has made a noticeable difference in how quickly I can prep my yarn. Setup took only a few minutes, and the instructions were easy to follow. The motor runs consistently and doesn’t jerk or pull the yarn too hard, which helps prevent knots. What I like: • Fast winding with consistent speed • Smooth motor with low noise • Creates tight, even cakes that pull beautifully from the center • Compact and easy to store • Clamp and base feel stable during use What could be better: • The tension arm feels a bit lightweight and could be stronger • Works best when the yarn feeds from a bowl or swift — otherwise occasional snags Overall, this is a reliable and time-saving winder for anyone who works with a lot of skeins. I’m happy with it and would recommend it to other crafters.

10 out of 10 would buy again
This ball winder works like a charm. It was easy to put together and use straight away. The only problem for me is that I want to keep in the box while I'm not using it. It doesn't go back in the box very well. Other than that, I would buy it for anyone that needed a ball winder.

It can turn 482 yd of yarn into one cake!
I have seen this anywhere between TikTok and right here on Amazon and I finally bit the bullet and bought it. It does take a little practice to get it down the way that you want it to but it's really not as bad as some has made it out to be in some reviews. I have owned this for over a month now and it takes less time for me to wind almost a full 482 yd skein of worsted weight yarn into a cake then it would originally take maybe double the time with double the cakes. It is a little loud depending on the speed. It does move a little bit again depending on the speed but as long as you have it secured onto a flat surface you should be fine. It was incredibly easy to put together. Far as functionality, I've learned that if you hold lightly onto your yarn as it's being fed through the winder almost kind of like a guide it helps make the tension tighter on the winder itself to help get a much tighter cake. Also once it's completely done, and you remove it from the ball winder you may be left with a rather large hole in the middle all you have to do is work it a little bit and you can't even tell the difference. I absolutely love this! It has helped me out so much especially since I have quite a large yarn stash. I highly recommend it for anyone who has issues as far as mobility goes with your hands especially if you have been crocheting for over 20 years like I have lol. I would absolutely buy this again if I had to. The price point is a little high but again it is well worth it.

Very Handy
Pros: very easy to setup and assemble. Good quality construction and the longer winder is nice. Adjustable speed is nice, but can’t imagine using the fastest without jamming. Auto shut-off is a pro and a con. It would be better if I had some control over this setting. The spindle and spring are nice ideas - but could use some improvement in execution. No tangles or jamming…seriously - not one after I solved one problem (detailed below). Cons- the spindle and spring only worked for me if my guiding yarn was below the device. The yarn continued to pop out and tangle/jam while my spinner was next to the device. I ended up flipping my spinner upside down - feeding from below…problem solved. The ver all I would absolutely recommend this for the money. Very handy! See video for better context.

Check that power plug is compatible to your country
Loved that it’s electric & very easy to assemble however cannot use in my country without purchasing a plug adapter to power it. Not mentioned on listing that the power plug may not be compatible with all countries ie Australia. Cannot use to see how it performs until I buy an adapter to convert it.

The most beautiful cake of yarn I've ever seen!
Used it only once for now and with a rustic yarn and I'm really satisfied with the results. It seems like it took a little longer than with a manuel yarn winder but the result is much better.
