Large Cold Frame - FSC Certified Pressure Treated Wood

Delivered several days earlier than expected and with just 2 hours notice. Product was not well designed with several amendments necessary to both top and structural rigidity to make good. The side wood was bowed. The mods were carried out by a local company for a fee and it now seems to be satisfactory. We felt the product , for a top end price , should not have needed these changes. The supplier responded very quickly to my concerns. The cost of returning which would have been at our cost, was quite high , as it is quite heavy. They kindly offered a small credit which I accepted and it was quickly applied by the supplier. The jury is still out !

The cold frame was well packaged but arrived without any assembly instructions, and because of the type of hinges and screws which are supplied it required quite a bit of work to put together (drilling, countersinking, clamping etc), it is not just your standard 5 minute 'ikea type' assembly. There is nothing to reinforce the corners either so it is going to be difficult to move it without it falling to pieces. The wood looks good quality though, time will tell whether it stands the test of scottish weather.It is a reasonable cold frame for the money but be prepared to do a bit of work to put it together properly.

Great sturdy, bought for a tortoise house!

Very happy with this product. Arrived punctually, was easy to assemble - all the fixings were there. Shame it has plastic panes instead of glass. It's a good size too so you can get plenty of plants in. Make sure you have a good spot for it on a free draining surface otherwise the bottom will rot eventually.

ARRIVED WITHIN THE TIME FRAME I FOUND IT NICE AND EASY TO PUT TOGETHER AND I'M NO GREAT DOITYOURSELFER VERY PLEASED WITH IT WOULD RECOMMEND A POWER DRIVER FOR EASE OF PUTTING TOGETHER

Would have given a better review but difficult to construct

The Frame is well built but when I unwrapped it the wood was all wet, having to dry it out before I assemble it

Not Very well put togeather, Screws far to short, I replaced the screws with Bolts, Made the frame a lot stronger to move about,other wise not to bad
