Well made, sturdy and beautiful.

This works perfect in my kitchen as a small fruit bowl. The mango wood has natural variations of brown, beige, tan, gray, yellow and occasional pink. The odd yellow and pink only stand out if you look closely. The ribbed style adds texture, but doesn't look busy. The mango wood is very hard/durable, similar to oak hardness. The size easily fits up to 8 granny smith apples. The Gresorth artificial apples are a perfect realistic filler. (See pics.) CARE TIP - AVOID CRACKING: If mango wood dries out too much, it will crack. Wipe down gently with an appropriate cutting board oil (almond oil, avocado oil, food grade mineral oil, etc.) REGULARLY and after any washing to ensure the wood is sealed and adequately conditioned. NOTE: If you're looking to match wood species, dried out acacia wood often looks very similar to mango wood. (Oiled acacia wood is much darker with more red/orange tones.) Overall, the style and durability is perfect. Although it is pricy for a small bowl, I still highly recommend!

Beautiful pedestal bowl to hold fruits and veggies in the kitchen. At the moment, I'm storing 7 sweet potatoes, and it could hold more. The bottom isn't perfectly flat and it's lightweight, so it's a little wobbly without anything inside, but I would still purchase again and recommend it. I wanted a bowl exactly this, but most are at least 2-3 times more expensive. This is an excellent value for such a beautiful piece that I'll have for a very long time.
