Recently my old water-filled hot water bottle leaked soaking my bed (and me). It took ages for the mattress and electric blanket to dry out. Luckily the water had cooled when it burst. If the water had still been hot I could have been badly burnt. I threw out the old hot water bottle and decided to find something safer. I found this on Amazon and bought it. It is very easy to use. Simply plug in the charger and it will charge fully in about 10 minutes. There is a red light on it which goes out to let you know when it is completely charged. It provides a good heat with no likelihood of burning. You can heat your hands by inserting them inside the muff or heat another part of your body by holding the back of the bottle against you body. I suffer from stomach problems so often use the bottle to soothe my stomach. I found this to be a very useful device, convenient, safe and very easy to use. I would say that the hand muff is the warmest part of the bottle and this part also retains heat for longer. The instructions claim that the bottle will remain warm for 2 hours, but beneath a blanket it will remain warm for 8 hours. It probably does retain some warmth for 2 hours but it does get progressively cooler during this period of time, with the muff staying warm for longer. However, I did not find that it stayed warm for 8 hours under the blankets. I did not actually time it but it was certainly less than 8 hours. Nevertheless, I really liked this device and I am happy to recommend it to others. I would buy it again.

Worked brilliantly for 5 months but then filled with air and wouldn’t warm up. Tried to expel air using valve but could not get valve to work. Contacted seller who tried to help with more detailed instructions but ultimately it appears valve was faulty. Seller immediately sent replacement. So 5* for seller MaMa BaBa but only 3* for product.
