I have used this to help my flock during midnight raids from the possum and raccoons. It's a short help while I was out of town. I put it on a timer and was a life saver for my Call Ducks.

Way to bright for my needs but I can't fault the product. You can't really look in their direction without temporary blinding affects. They have a wide angle as well so be careful

I ordered these to be used as work lights in and around my shop and studio. I didn’t read the description as carefully as I should have. It mentions 100W, so if figured these would be about as bright as a 100W incandescent light bulb. No, they draw 100W and are more equivalent to a 1000W halogen bulb! In my case, I’m happy because for my lighting purposes more is better. They have heavy cast aluminum sealed frames with heat sink fins molded into them. I have used them in my photo studio bounced off the ceiling for soft, indirect light. They work really well for that, but be aware that these fixtures really heat up. They need to be mounted to a stand or wall or ceiling with the integrated steel brackets. You don’t want these coming into contact with anything flammable. Of course, their main use is as exterior security lights. With the sealed waterproof design and huge light output, they are well designed for this purpose. Like another reviewer, I would like to have the convenience of an inline on/off switch, but you can install that yourself if you want it. These are serious lights that are not for casual use, so you need to have a purpose for them and do a safe installation.These are excellent high output security floodlights . . . or work lights if you provide proper safe supports for them.
