George Foreman 4-Serving Indoor Grill with Removable Plates

I bought this sandwich maker recently and I’m very happy with it. It heats up fast and makes perfectly toasted, crispy sandwiches every time. The non-stick plates are easy to clean, and it’s compact for my kitchen. I’ve used it for grilled cheese, ham sandwiches, and even sweet versions — all turn out delicious. Excellent value and works great after several weeks. Highly recommended!

So far I've used it once. I love that the plates are detachable to immerse in dish water...makes it a whole lot easier to clean. I made pork chops and they got done nicely. This is at least my fourth George Foreman. I like that the back "legs" are stationary as opposed to folding on my old one.

VERY pleased with this George Foreman electric grill. I cook burger patties on it - mostly bison burger patties. I heat it up 3 minutes, put the garlic salt and pepper seasoned patties on it, two at a time, and set the timer for another 3 minutes. I like my meat very well done, and this works perfectly for me. The drip pan catches all of the fat and extra juices, and the patties are always cooked evenly. I may try it for grilled sandwiches in the future, but right now I am not eating any bread items. It appears to be well made, is a breeze to clean up, and takes up very little room on my counter. The non-stick surface is a "piece of cake" to clean, too! Very happy with our purchase!

This is a great choice for cooking up protein and reducing the fat/grease while being super easy to clean. Fast, even cooking and no need to flip. Took one star off because it’s way smaller than I expected. I can cook 2 hamburger patties at a time max, so I wouldn’t say 4 servings. But it’s still great!

Bought this to replace an older model. The removable plates are awesome, as well as the grease tray. Easy clean up and you are ready to go again. Burgers, hotdogs, Bratwurst or thinner chicken breasts. No temp adjustment on this model, but you really don't need one.

I absolutely love this grill!! The removable grill plates are very easy to clean and the food doesn't stick to them. One of the complaints I saw frequently in other reviews was that the food wanted to slide down toward the front. This is true but there are little nubs to keep it from falling out. However, I found an easy fix for this problem. I put a small board under the front legs and that solved the problem. My board is 7/16" and I wouldn't use anything higher. The juices run freely into the bin used for that purpose. I suppose you could use anything under the front legs that would raise it. I've used it for steaks and chicken so far and am anxious to try sandwiches now.

I finally had it with cleaning my old George foreman grill so I bought this one with the replaceable plates. With such a large price difference between the 4 serving and the 5 serving grill AND the picture of the 4 burgers on the grill made me think this was the easy choice. Well, this grill is much smaller than I thought it would be. Cons: - Size - it BARELY fits 2 burger patties. I make about 1/3 lb burgers and even the store bought ones will barely fit 2 on there and they need to be staggered and moved around to avoid undercooking the edges. - Grease on the underside of plates: It ships with a black grease on the underside of the plates that creates a bad smell during the first time I turned it on. It got on my hands while removing the plates to wash them. I thought that was the end of it, but it actually didn't come off in the dishwasher. It isn't on the cook surface but just be aware when handling the plates. - Trouble maintaining temperature: when you plug in the grill, one light turns on then when it heats up the other one turns on. When you add on one or 2 frozen patties or adding a refrigerate sauce to the meat on there it takes a LONG time and some times NEVER returns to "both lights" being on. Its like it doesn't have enough heating ability to keep up once things are on there. I use a thermometer to make sure things aren't undercooked. - No on/off button. One of my previous GF grills had an on/off switch which was great for keeping it plugged in and turning on when you need it. This one does not have one. - Has a "gap" in the middle between the top and bottom plates and if something is stuck to the top plate it can fall in the gap and get onto your counter, requiring additional clean up. Pros: + Price, very inexpensive so perhaps that justifies its downfalls + Removable plates are nice for occasional cleaning. + Hinge, lets it fit different size foods + Its a george foreman so its great for cooking small meals at home without going out into the cold to grill. Conclusion: Its a george foreman so if you've used one before, you know what to expect for the most part. However, I was expecting more improvements vs my MUCH older model that it was replacing. It came up pretty short in that respect with the only improvement being the removable plates, while the heating element may have gone backwards, it seems to have gotten smaller and even an on/off switch is missing. The LOW price may justify all these things for you. Of note, I read the reviews for the 5-serving grill which is double the price and seems to suffer from some of the same downfalls with an also misleading size in the pictures so just be aware.

Hi, The sandwich maker shorted and has now stopped working. The adapter that was sent also was burnt. I have tried to get this repaired but no one is accepting this since this is imported. I would like to return this product.
