Easy to use and good looking!
As described. Easy to use and compact yet easily big enough for 2-3 people.looks great and streamlined on kitchen too. Don’t understand other reviews that say the beeping is too loud. It’s at a normal level and as you would expect. Quiet while cooking as well. Previously had a two drawer big air fryer but this does the job equally well and with more style!

Spacious, simple to use and excellent for everyday cooking.
The Tefal Easy Fry Max 5L Air Fryer has been a really useful addition to the kitchen. The 5L capacity is generous enough for family-sized portions, and it can comfortably handle larger batches without taking up an excessive amount of worktop space. The digital touchscreen is clear and straightforward to use, while the 10 automatic programmes make cooking common foods very simple. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and is especially good for chips, chicken, vegetables and reheating food without needing much oil. Cleaning is also relatively easy, which is important with something that gets used regularly. The basket and tray are simple to remove, and there are far fewer greasy surfaces to deal with compared with conventional frying. The black design looks smart and modern, and overall the build quality feels solid. It is also noticeably quicker and more convenient than using a full-sized oven for smaller meals. Overall, this is a practical, easy-to-use air fryer with a good capacity and plenty of useful preset programmes. Great for everyday cooking and particularly worthwhile for households wanting quicker meals with less oil.

Great 1st time air fryer
I know a lot of reviews people struggled a bit with the symbols but I didn't find them too bad, managed to navigate my way around the menu and how to set the timer for whatever time I wanted, so reading the instruction manual does help work out 1 Bitton selects what you're cooking and the other is the timer so it's all straightforward. For the size etc I'm glad I bought it during the sales, it's a decent fryer if you want to have a go but you're not 100% committed to having one, so around £50 I felt was a decent price. Only issue I have is my partner prefers bigger meals so I can cook for example chicken Kiev and enough chips for me, but for him I had to a 2nd lot of chips but, if we get enough use put of this one then we could look at getting a bigger one in the future. I like this one because it's pretty basic so I don't feel I've over spent on a product I'm not completely confident I want, people at work raved about having one so I thought I'd give it a go. I've found plenty of things I can cook in it and it saves time, sort of, when cooking dinner. It holds enough to make a decent sized meal and it cooks everything fine, any errors so far have been on our part experimenting with different food/timings/etc. It also doesn't take up too much space, we have limited counter space, and it's light so I'm not put off by the idea of having to pick it up off a shelf to use it. I need to play around with it more and cook more food in it before I decide whether upgrading is a good idea, although I've seen some more expensive ones with about the same amount of drawer space so I might just stick to this one. Certainly helps if I'm cooking a few things, our gas oven doesn't disperse the heat evenly so cooking 2 lots of the same thing at once is very helpful. When it's cooking I don't think it's that loud but the beeping every time you press a button is loud and annoying, it's like it's not sure I'm aware I pressed anything so it's yelling at me to reassure me I have pressed the button 5 times and didn't miss once! I get it's a touchscreen and all but if I can manage my phone without the beeping I can manage an air fryer. Washing up is easy, the tray comes out, although I knocked the rubber stopper on the side where the handle is and it won't sit back in place so I have to tilt it towards me to get the stopper to sit where it's meant to and the slot the tray in without moving it. Bit annoying but easy to do. I'd recommend this air fryer if you only have 1-2 people to cook for and I'd wait until it's on sale if you want to buy it as a starter/tester fryer before you decide whether to move on to more expensive, complicated air fryers. It's good but I think for what it is £120 (I think) was more than I was willing to pay to be honest.

Great air fryer - would recommend
Really pleased with this as what I thought would just be an entry level air fryer until I decided if I liked it. It’s great, I’ll be sticking with this one. Easy to clean and cooks really well. Food is crisp but still retains moisture. If you are doing a pizza you’ll have to let it thaw a little so you can cut it.

Lightweight and easy to use
Lightweight and easy to use. This is our first air fryer , bought in the July Prime deals and we are not disappointed. Clear digital touch screen , dishwasher safe drawer and non stick plate makes it easy to clean after use.We like the soft green eucalyptus colour to go with our kitchen , and hope Tedal will extend this colour range to other kitchen appliances - eg Kettles & toaster . Happy buyer

“Serves a family of six” - how, exactly?
My first impression was of a shiny black plastic cuboid. It could plausibly be a sound system (if you remember those), a small computer tower, or an air fryer. Unfortunately, it was the latter. It beeps loudly when switched on and displays pictures of all the wonderful things you might supposedly cook. Then you pull out the drawer and realise how little cooking space there actually is. The idea of cooking a chicken in it seems rather ambitious. I bought this as an energy-saving alternative to the oven. In practice, it is not. It is essentially a turbo grill that mainly cooks the upper surface. If you are roasting vegetables, for example, you have to keep stopping the programme and rearranging everything to achieve anything like even cooking. We tried using it for an accompaniment to a meal for four; there is no realistic way this would cook a meal for six. The result is that it takes just as long, if not longer, than using an oven and involves considerably more faff. To add insult to injury, it overheated and displayed an E4 error. A conventional oven has far more usable space and cooks food more evenly, consistently, and, in our experience, more efficiently than this machine. My only caveat is that it may be suitable for someone living alone who wants to cook a small portion. But the claims about feeding six people, or cooking larger items, are wildly misleading and verge on false advertising. Returned.

Tefal Easy Fry Max Digital Air Fryer, 5L
This is my first Air Fryer. I'm very happy with the purchase. It fits perfectly into my kitchen. It has 10 cooking programs, recipes via QR code, and a user-friendly menu interface. The basket size is enough to cook food for a family of 2-3 people and everything cooks quickly and deliciously. Thanks to Amazon for the great price and fast delivery. I highly recommend this product.

Best budget air fryer
The tray (with the holes) is difficult to wash. Mainly because it is non-stick, so you can't be too rough with it, and the food gets stick between the holes. But the price is value-for-money. It gets up to 200 degrees Celsius, which helps to really crisp up things like chicken and vegetables. Steak... doesn't really create a good sear. But can cook steak from frozen. I recommend getting one of those baking paper trays for easy clean up. Also get a stainless steel or aluminum mini rack if you're using a paper tray.
