These shoes are slip on. Yes, they do have laces but they serve no real purpose other than to look like lace up shoes. There is no movable tongue in this shoe design. The shoes are comfortable, but a little hard to put on. I'm not a fan of slip on shoes as I find them difficult to get on and are not as secure on the foot. However, these while somewhat difficult to get on, do feel secure.
